I just hope that Apple does the same thing for the new phone as they did with the 3Gs and allow folks to upgrade early if there contract end date was prior to September 30th (I think that was the date).

My contract is up early September. If Apple does the above, I'll buy one the first week it comes out, if not I'll wait till September. My 3G is starting to feel old to me. I want to be able to shoot video, and take better still pictures.

Nah. I'm getting a 3GS really soon instead.

Waiting for Apple is something I've grown tired of. I'm sure the software updates for older iPhones will offer more to come. As for the hardware, there's not much to make better that I'd care about.

I will be upgrading. I want more space. I have about 300MB left on my 16GB 3G. At the least, I will be getting 32GB, but it would be sweet if a 64GB comes out. I am eligible this month, but I will just wait for the next model.

Bradl you need to confine your ocd and controlling personality to yourself and family.

thanks

You really have no idea who I am, let alone know that I am one of the least controlling people around here and quite liberal. Feel free to search for any of my posts here on this forum to see that... but as if I need to justify myself to you.

But I digress. I'm a Melancholy/Phlegmatic, per the book Personality Plus, by Florence Littauer. Perhaps if you take the time to read the book instead of trying to define me, you may not only get to understand me, but may find out more about who you are, let alone remove those misbeliefs of what OCD and 'controlling personalities' are.

Anywho, I'm done with this thread.

BL.

I never understand people who make this argument. The whole point of the iPod -- what made it revolutionary -- is that we don't have to decide in advance what we want to listen to because we get to carry our entire collection with us. Hell, I could carry a CD player with me if I wanted to spend time each day burning a mix CD.

The whole point of the iPhone is to be a convergence device which allows us to combine iPod and phone into one. Why shouldn't we hope to do the same thing with our iPhones that we did with our iPods?

you do know the main part of this is a Phone right :D ipod second.

Thats not RAM.
The Ram on the 3GS model is 256MB.
The Current storage is 16GB and 32GB.
Memory and storage is different.
RAM, Schram, Flash, Schflash, crap, dump, *****, whatever.

Memory, schemory, storage, schorage, crap, etc, etc.

****, people, you know what I'm talking I about! I don't need a fvcking lecture here.

Depends on if there is a compelling reason to upgrade, also if I decide to sell my 3GS and get a decent amount to be able to buy the new one, however it all depends on the features that will drive my decision...

Junes not too far away. I mean I get out of college May 10th. Than have a long summer it should come quick. I'll probably shell out 800 at the time 300 for the service stuff than a damn security deposit because I don't have a credit score yet. Hopefully it will be only like 200. Who knows.

Dunno. I'm getting a bit bored with the iPhone. I've had a 2G and 3G.. feels more like a novelty device now, and am really more interested in something with Flash and Multitasking so I can use Live Chat software to give clients customer service on the move. For that, I need both Flash And Multitasking..

If they do not change the physical design and at least revamp the UI a little bit, I will be getting Palm's latest WebOS phone.

Hey bud, you don't tell me how I use my iPhone and I won't tell you how you use your iPhone.

The nerve.

I don't feel like having to update my iPhone everyday and having to think "what kind of music do I want to listen today?" It's not about how much I can put on the device, it's about what kind of mood I'm in a particular day to listen.

So, again, you do what you want with your device and we can decide what we want. Now, step off your high horse.

i have a few playlists with my favorite songs that i always carry around. Since i have almost 100GB of music most of which i haven't listened to yet i have another set of playlists divided by genre. as i listen to a song i may add it to one or more of my favorites playlists. otherwise i don't see the point of carrying around filler songs i may listen to once a year or so
