I checked O2 in the UK. Their pricing is confusing, to say the least. The best value contract for an iPhone 5 seems to be £299 + £26 for 24 months for iPhone 5 with 32 GB. The iPhone itself on the Apple Store is £599, so you effectively pay £13.50 per month for unlimited calls, unlimited text, 1 GB data per month. Plus you get £5 per month rebate if you have O2 broadband. (Tariffs with cheaper or free phone end up costing significantly more. You get the phone £50 cheaper and pay £5 per month more for 24 months. Do the maths. And tarrifs with less minutes / texts / data actually end up costing the same or more).

1 generic phone, 2 iPhones, 2 unlimited data plans, unlimited text, 700 mins to share and our monthly is $191.93 (AT&T)

I hate that it is so much and more than anything I hate the $36.00 UPGRADE fee we are charged everytime we buy a new phone. Seriously, we have been out of contract for a year waiting for the iPhone5 ... we buy the phone sign a 2 year contract and then get charged an additional $36.00 ... hate it.

What's the difference between Global and International Messaging?

What's the difference between Global and International Messaging?

Global Messaging is used when sending messages while roaming in other countries. It includes both SMS and MMS and is billed the same. Note that receiving is counted as a domestic message. Also iMessage is great in that it counts as data, so it does not come out of the pool.

International Messaging is used when you're still in the US to send to other countries. It's limited to just SMS. MMS is billed pay-per-use.
