If he's getting 6 hours on an X he will get 12 hours on a Plus.
That is not how it works. I have 52% left at 8 hours 34 minutes usage...that does not mean I am going to get another 8 hours 34 minutes usage, or that I would get 34 hours usage from an 8+.

8 hours 34 minutes doing what?
Judging from your recent posts you seem to be having a hard time believing people are getting good battery life from the x.8 hours 34 minutes doing what?
I really don’t think so. What are you basing that on?
Even Apple only rates the 8+ as getting 1 hour more in web surfing and video playback.
Mostly web browsing, three or so hours of podcasts (screen off), hour and a half or so of Spotify (screen off), a few emails, a few messages. But it really does not matter because if I did exactly all the same again it does not mean I will get another 8 hours 34 minutes.

The 8+ as good as the battery i'm sure is..the gap in difference is small.
I'm basing it on the fact that I consistently hit 12 hours on my Plus and real world tests show similar results.

This was an exceptional day for me on my 6S+ on iOS 9 when I had first got it. Due to the battery degrading I get about 1 hour less now, so I hit 10-11 hours rather than 11-12.

Screen off matters because you're not using the most power hungry component of any phone. You won't get 8 hours of screen use from it.
Thats not real world usage though so it's hard to take much difference. Your usage is clearly very good but not everybody will get that kind of usage.I'm basing it on the fact that I consistently hit 12 hours on my Plus and real world tests show similar results.

See above, 2 hours is a small gap?
Yes, I realize that. However I am saying what MY battery life is with MY usage. I don’t need to keep the screen on for an entire hour long podcast to watch the time count down. Your statement was someone can expect double of what they get on their X on an 8+. If I used an 8+ EXACTLY as I did my X today, I would not get 17 hours (to 52%) or, as you seem to imply, 34 hours to 0%.

Chances are I get over 12 hours usage from my full charge too.
No you'd probably have the same time but your battery would be at about 70% or more.
Now imagine getting double that with a 8+
each results are different
That graph shows 2 hours more on the 8+, not double.
Also, in the other thread about closing apps, did you realize that I was referring to an 8+ when you questioned my battery stats?
The issue was I would not get double hours the usage on an 8+ for the same battery drain.
X = 7-8 hours of real use. Not audio playback.
8+ = 12-14 hours of real use. Not audio playback.
Therefore, if someone is getting 6 hours on an X they will get 11-12 hours on a 8+.
Is it really that hard to understand?

They got 6 hours of use on the X... The 8+ will give them double that from 100% to dead. How can you argue that I'm wrong? There's literally pages of 8+ screenshots that show 12-14 hours of use.
I understand the math but I must have missed where you’re getting those numbers from.
Because you did not say “you will get 12 hours from 100% to dead”. That OP still had 22% charge left, you can’t treat it as if he gets 6 hours and no more at 22%, and compare to 8+ getting whole range of 100% to 0% as if you are making a fair comparison.
...Didn't you post a screenshot of your 8+ getting 14 hours?
[doublepost=1510113808][/doublepost]
22% left they would get 8 hours just like the battery test shows. The 8+ still beats that by alot.
Yes, but that doesn’t tell me anything about how it compares to the X unless I also used an X under the exact same conditions. You can’t just take the numbers that one person got on the 8+ and compare it to the numbers that a totally different person got using the X. That’s not scientific. It’s not a controlled experiment. I got 14 hours on my 8+, but other people swear they only get 8 hours. There’s too many variables to compare like that.
3 hours usage
10 hours standby
56%
My 7+ used to go about 1 1/2 days. My X goes about 1 day with light usage.
Thats one person's usageOkay well I used a Plus phone for 3 years and consistently hit 12-14 hours every day.
I used a X for 5 days and struggled to hit 8 hours every day. I actually used the X less and installed fewer apps because I knew I couldn't make it through the day.
Both setup as new, same settings, etc.

Thanks for proving my point with real numbers.
3 hours use at 56% so when the phone is dead you'll have about 8 hours use. See how math works people?
