Got a pair of Huawei Freelace headphones, and absolutely loving them!

They support Fast Charging from any device with USB-C with Fast Charge support and have HiPair technology that allows both Pair immediate pairing and charging with a EMUI9.1 device, a lot like NFC.

I am also using them withy Apple iPad Air 2 (for Netflix, Amazon and YouTube) and Apple MacBook Air.

Battery Life has been awesome to, Huawei promise about 18 hours out of the 120mAh battery, and I am getting close to that, although I have not managed to let them die before giving them a quick top up as I have been traveling quite a bit.

Main gripes:
No high quality code support, I disappointed that there are is no AptXHD support, surely this should be a standard by this point, very odd compromise by Huawei here.

Just got a P30 Pro bargain for £550 as new in Aurora I really hope it loves up to expectations especially the camera!

I saw a video today from mrwhoseboss comparing it with the S10 Plus and New Pixel 3a and it nearly put me off as it doesn't look that good on the video in some parts.

I want a phone that I'll keep until next year so I hope it's a good one

FINALLY! An article that puts into words how amazing the battery life and charging is on this device in a thorough and detailed manner.

I just got home after a long day at work, having being been playing music via Bluetooth in my car to and from work, playing music via the Freelace headphones during work, while also keeping up with our national election results on the IEC app, checking Twitter and Facebook constantly, browsing Instagram during lunch, doing some exotic car spotting in traffic with the Camera etc.. And I still have 71% battery.

It is simply ridiculous how much you get out of a charge, and Android Central has captured this feeling of just knowing that your phone will never let you down, and even if you let it down by forgetting to charge, you plug in for 15mins and BOOOM! Ready to go for the day

The Huawei P30 Pro's battery life and SuperCharge feature will change your life

The Huawei P30 Pro is the first phone I've used that has relieved me of nearly all concerns surrounding battery life. With so much attention being focused on the P30 Pro's impressive camera performance, I don't think enough time and words have been spent and written talking about its battery life and charging speed. In fact, I'd go so far as to say those aspects might actually be the phone's best features, because the camera hasn't had such a dramatic positive effect on my day-to-day routine.

It all comes down to the hardware, a massive 4200mAh battery working in beautiful harmony with the included 40W Huawei SuperCharge wall charger to achieve astounding charging speeds. But instead of talking about those numbers, I'd rather talk about the personal impact of not having to worry about your phone's battery life, and the time and headspace that's freed up when a phone performs this well.

And how is emui? The battery life can be good, but if os sucks it can be nevermind
EMUI is pretty fast and fluid, it will be what you want it to be, there are Themes, Icon Packs and it already has the Android Q Gesture UI that Huawei brought last year in the Mate 20 Pro.

Something that I have liked in the P30 Pro and Mate 20 Pro is the Setting where you can turn On Performance Mode and also the setting where you can turn off All Animations and Transitions without having to enable Developer Options.

Got the despatch email for my Sonos one today. No use for it, so I'll be selling it.

Struggling to find a simple, small clock for the lock screen. Same kind as the default one, just smaller and to the left or right. The default spoils pics. Can't find one in the themes app. Anyone know a good place to find one?

Just got mine today. Wow it is fast. Comming from iPhone xs. But where can i disable when i makes space after..... Im using SwiftKey

I bought a wireless charger but I never use it. Plug the P30 Pro in and in no time it's either fully charged or at the very least, more than enough to last a full day. Especially when you consider I'm currently on 5 hours 35 mins SOT with 49% left.

It's going to be difficult when I eventually make the change to something without these impressive stats.

Go to:

Settings - Apps - Apps - 3 Dot Button in top right - Special Access - Battery Optimization once in there click on the Drop down on the top Left, select All Apps, find Spark, and set it to Don't Allow

Then, go so Settings - Battery - App Launch and untick Spark.

Both Android and Huawei UI have a Battery Saving feature that may shutdown apps, by doing the above you are turning both of them Off.

Hope that helps.

It is not working. I have to open spark and update my email manuel to get the mail. It is like push don't work. I have tried Outlook and there push and notifications works perfectly

Been using the P30 for a while now, and I’m surprised how great of a phone it is, especially if you’re an amateur photographer.

Pluses:
- cheaper than the P30 Pro for sure
- headphone jack
- more compact body
- same fast SoC as the P30 Pro
- generous amount of RAM and storage. Mine has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That’s as much as my previous MacBook Air!!
- smooth operation and great battery life
- amazing camera output and capability. Features like the night mode and light painting made it super easy to create photos that used to require careful preparations, manual controls and a tripod. Eg I now can create a photo of silky smooth water just by using his phone, handheld! The. There’s the obvious wide angle and 3x zoom.

Minuses:
- only IP53 rated, unlike the IP68 Pro
- no creep mode 50x zoom, but I don’t think I would ever use that anyway.
- no reverse wireless charging, but seriously other than a fun party trick, this is mostly a gimmick imo
- WiFi and wireless performance can be a bit wonky at times

As for eMUI, since I’m already accustomed to MiUI, eMUI is not that starkly different. It’s better than MiUI that you can enable the app drawer. However, it feels more intrusive in terms of analytics (especially when you first configuring the phone) compared to other Androids. But personally I’m a fan of these custom Android now, especially with features like twin apps/dual apps, which doesn’t exist on stock Android. These Huawei phones are becoming solid contenders for the likes of Samsung

Agreed, it's crazy good, busy sitting on 5hours 14mins SOT, with 61% battery left, almost 20 hours off charge it's madness, and it's beginning to feel like it's getting better

I know the Mate 30 Pro will probably match this, if not be a little better, but I hope the Galaxy Note10 will at least try to match this, as I am considering it as a second phone.

I'm really hoping the Pixel 4 has the improvements I'm looking for (more ram, storage & wide angle lens) and I'm sure I'll be tempted by the Note 10. But after using the P30 Pro, I'm definitely interested in what the Mate 30 Pro will bring.
