It DOES look good! Just the top and bottom, or the palm rest too? I was so enamored with the carbon black MacBook in the MI movie, that I am def gravitating to a black SOMETHING, LOL. But yes, the real world grey Titanium pics I've seen are incredible!
I did buy the palm rest as well as the top and the bottom, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use it. 90% of the time the MBP is docked. What I'm afraid of is that there really isn't any real separation from the palm rest and the screen in clamshell. I'd hate for it to leave an imprint on the screen--if that's even possible, but I don't want to take the chance.

I'm also liking the Metal Hyperblack. Maybe I'll get that as well in case I get bored.

Everyone who’s using the bottom skin, doesn’t that interfere with the thermals? It does prevent scratches but aluminum is better left alone for a more efficient thermal management. You push it hard enough, the fans might have to go faster than they would otherwise.

Any thoughts?

Great question! I thought someone did a test, comparing thermals with and without. The cooling systems involve heat sinks, fans and vents. As I recall, the effect of the skins is nominal.

My Hyperblack Titanium top cover & trackpad skins just arrived. Not too bad to install, just a tiny gap around the edge on the top cover & an exact fit on the trackpad. The surface does take some getting used to on the trackpad though. Even without the Apple Logo cutout the logo IS still visible through the skin but it's really subtle, which I actually really like.

I suspect that putting a sticker on the touchpad,
it will change the whole feeling or even responsiveness.
Better leave it bare?

I haven't noticed any change in responsiveness but, depending on the skin, it can dramatically alter the feel. The Titanium skin is pretty rough to the touch so I can see many not liking that. The flip side is that it was less than $4 & if I hated it, it takes 10 seconds to remove.

Exactly. I put it to my order too, this trackpad cover, just because it was cheap, but I think it is unlikely to put it in use.

Got my Black Dragon skin. Not everyone will like it but it is durable, doesn't show fingerprints or scratches like some of the skins do.

It's my first time getting one of these without the Apple logo cutout. I'm not too sure about that decision, but I don't like how Apple made the logo larger on these machines so I covered it up.

Install isn't quite aligned right, but it's good enough. These skins are pretty tricky to get perfectly aligned.

I like this a lot. The photos on Dbrand's site weren't super clear/detailed to me so I appreciate being able to see your pictures.

I really like that! I very nearly went for this one over the Hyperblack Titanium but DBrands pictures weren't detailed enough. It looks great in your shots. Mines a tiny bit off as well but not enough to re-do it, you're right they are pretty tricky to align.

My OCD* kicked-in and I had to remove and re-apply. It takes a few days for the adhesive to fully cure, so if you use a heat gun to soften the skin then you can carefully remove it.

*I don't have OCD, I'm just a bit anal about this stuff!

Looks nice. Are the sides covered at all? It appears there is some wrap around on the bottom skin. Also, I'm curious about the MacBook Pro engraving on the bottom. Does it show?

Thanks for posting!!
Negative and negative.

Nothing on the sides top or bottom.

Engraving not visible on the bottom.

I read about good opinions about these dbrand skins.
To be honest, it will be my first time on a mac of mine,
to stick such skins.

In previous years, I had chosen to use hard shell.
Unfortunately, possibly the bad plastics and also the many years of continuous use,
cause an awful deformation on my mbp!
The lid cannot close anymore!

So I guess, these skins will protect some basic cover from scratches and even small drops on the screen lid,
I do not wish something more.
And be more 'gentle' with my mbp, to keep its form for the years to come.

I used a clear hard case on my 17". My Wife and Daughter both are using clear hard cases on their M1 Air's. But this time, for lightness, and scratch protection, I'm completely sold on the dBrand skins. For that little extra safety, before it goes into my shoulder bag pre-travel; I was thinking of one of these sleeves. Thoughts? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089M8T54X/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3G9CCM7NUAREO&th=1

Exactly this. They are mostly about the scratch protection and personalization. I won't let anything touch a naked MacBook because the first scratch on a new device really ruins my day. After a while I get used to them, but that first scratch - oh boy!

Over time, this feeling has led to me skinning my MacBooks before they pick up scratches. I like to use my computers, carry things on top of them and leave them around the house - I'll even use a closed MacBook as a coaster if it has a skin on it (I don't recommend this for anyone else though!). Any sort of skin will let me do that, plus I get to make the laptop "mine" and different from the sea of MacBooks you see in a coffee shop or airport.

How durable these skins are?
How many years remain in good shape and condition?

I got mine - paid for overnight shipping took 6 days to arrive. Arrived damaged with dents and bends and it made my laptop feel cheap. Not a fan.

My first order was in November.
Never came.

They sent me a new one in December.
Never came too.

I hope even the last minute, to receive the skins.
Otherwise,
I claim refund.

That's surprising. They are usually very good with Customer Service. I'm sure they will take care of you here.
