I raised this problem End of November with a Senior Advisor at Apple. They have downloaded my System log twice. Must say I am fascinated that Apple NOW can claim they never heard about the problem.

Apple must be close to a solution if they have admitted a problem. That way they can say “look we solved it quickly after we became aware of the issue” as opposed to “we don’t know/care what is going on and it will take several months to fix”

Tinfoil hat...maybe.

Sorry, but what are "iCloud tabs"?
Sorry, but what are "iCloud tabs"?

Edit: ok, I always knew it as "Handoff"
Handoff is not the same like icloud tabs. handoff only sync the actual open tab/open email etc via bluethooth to onther device. icloud tabs syncs all open tabs to icloud and you can open all tabs on all devices which are connected to the same apple id.

I don’t think you have any admissible evidence to counter apple‘s claim.

But have they admitted there's a fault! According to their system updates, everything is running as it should be.

No doubt they do know, but they aren't admitting it.

EDIT: Panic stations! I've just realised ALL my emails from pre 13 December have gone missing! This isn't good. Is anyone else seeing this on their devices?

But going back to Catalina doesn't make a difference. I wish it would.
True, but the main problem, and I know this is a REAL problem,
is (which this shouldn't be [Apple]):

I have these devices (which MANGLE things):

1x High Sierra
2x Mojave
1x Catalina
1x Big Sur

1x iPhone 12.5
2x iPhone 14.3

1x iPad 14.3

---===---
AppleTVs don't matter but they are on 14.3
with HomePods, all max updated so...
---===---

ALL of these with browsers, are using iCloud Tabs,
(which works "some times")

But I know if I disabled (web sync) on ALL of these devices, except for

1x Big Sur
2x iPhone 14.3
1x iPad 14.3

iCloud Tabs would work.
This didn't happen till I got seriously "FAR" from High Sierra

I think I am gonna Turn OFF Website Syncing starting with OLDEST first,
(High Sierra) and see if I can get things all GRAVY again...

I'll let you guys know!

Gosh I never thought I'd get to this grouchy-old-man stage so early in my life. I wish companies would stop with all the features, because the more they add, the more irritated I get when they stop working. I want Snow Leopard back.

Right I have somehow got all my old emails back. But I've also got back every single email I've previously deleted from 2013 😩

And I now no longer get email notifications on my lock screen or banners or audible notifications.

This is not good Apple!

This thread is not about e-mails. It's about iCloud tab-syncing!

I have been on phone twice since November with senior Apple support both tier 1 and senior. First time was on over an hour. Today, I spoke to another senior advise and iCloud tabs not syncing IS A KNOWN issue however, they have no idea when a fix is coming all he could say is engineering is aware.

iCloud tabs are just showing up... what a miracle! Praise the Lord.

I’m not sure if they are synching in real time though hmm...

Yes, I know. But I just thought that as both may be linked to server issues I'd post here too in case others are also having the same issue as me.

Mine's been a mess for a couple months. Didn't have any iCloud tabs showing on any devices for the last few days. Checked today, and they are synced, still some delay in updating....Trying to see how long of a delay, but working somewhat for now. I'm sure this will all revert back to chaos, but was just shocked to see anything working at all today....

edit....they were updating about ten minutes between devices....Just now did almost instantly....Please, tell me they are fixing this....

edit....after an hour or working.....we're still going strong. Watching the tabs on my MacBook, as soon as I close safari on my iPad and iPhone, they instantly update correctly.

edit..... 12 hours later and 2 iPhones, one MacBook, and one iPad all still in sync perfectly.....

After disabling certain "macOS" version of different machines, I could only get Mojave + Big Sur + iOS 14.3 + iPad 14.3, Catalina and High Sierra, nuthin dead as a doornail.

This was after going into System Prefs -> iCloud, toggling Safari and quiting safari relaunching, waiting over night for iCloud to enable, before opening Safari etc...

No go for High Sierra and Catalina... everything else is OK
