Still working fine for me from time of last postiCloud tabs are working for me now I am on Big Sur and 14.2 iOS. Can any of you confirm if its also working for you.
thing that I have check as follows
cloud tabs sync between Mac and iPhone
closing tabs on one device closes it on other
Whatever you do, doesn’t matter.MBP 2014 - Catalina 10.15.7 (now showing no iCloud tabs whatsoever . Last week showed tabs on iPad & iPhone)
iPad mini 5th Gen - iOS 14.2 (iCloud tab syncing up-to-date with tabs open on MPB. iCloud tab syncing showing old tabs on iPhone)
iPhone SE - iOS 14.2 (no iCloud syncing at all appearing for several months now.
I used to depend on iCloud tab syncing a lot on my iPhone, reading articles or whatever that I knew were open on my MBP or iPad. So annoying and sad that this feature is gone.
For months I have given Apple feedback on the non-syncing issue. No improvement seen on iPhone at all. I'm wondering if I might be signed into iCloud with different passwords, due to changing a password while on one device but not changing it on the others. If so, maybe I should sign out of iCloud on all devices and sign back in.
It's better to write Apple a feedback, that this stuff is not working since a few months, than wasting time in trying to solve the issue (what doesn't work, as it's server related at apples side).I still don’t understand why people are trying to fix it at their end when it is patently obvious that it is a problem at Apple. Stop trying to fix it and just report it to them, that’s the only way this debacle is going to be resolved.
Yes - don't know why, but you can find nothing at the big sites about this issue.Isn't it funny that Macrumors still hasn't posted a story on this? 30 pages of posts, new posts every day, Apple acknowledging the problem to some....
No one cares, i also tried contacting some reviewers on youtube like zollotech. They also simply dont care, they just survive of new os updated apple gives but don’t address some existing problem.Yes - don't know why, but you can find nothing at the big sites about this issue.
Yes, I have this problem too — and I have good-ish news.Is anyone having a problem syncing iCloud tabs?
Last night I noticed that when I went to the tab list in Safari on my iPad Pro 11 it showed a tab opened on my iPhone 7 Plus that I had closed earlier that day. I thought maybe I hadn’t closed it, but I checked and I did. I tried removing it on my iPad Pro, but it kept coming back. I tried restarting both devices, but that didn’t do anything. I then powered on an old IPad Air 2 on the same iCloud account and checked Safari there and there were no tabs listed for other devices.
At that point I started opening tabs on various devices and closing Safari and then closing the tabs. Eventually all 3 devices showed no tabs opened on other devices.
This morning they are all completely wrong again. My iPhone shows 1 tab opened on my Pro, which has no tabs open. My Pro shows 1 tab from my Air that has no tabs opened. My Air shows 3 tabs opened on my Pro. All the tabs were things I had opened last night.
I tried opening and closing tabs and nothing seems to resolve this. I even tried toggling Safari off and on in the iCloud settings on my Air 2, but that just removed the iCloud tabs and then brought them back. As such the problem seems to be with what’s stored in iCloud.
Any ideas?
Maybe they are also paid by apple to review the new releases. No one cares, i also tried contacting some reviewers on youtube like zollotech. They also simply dont care, they just survive of new os updated apple gives but don’t address some existing problem.
So far, they have learned that the problem is in iCloud, not on my Mac or my iPhone. It does not involve my wifi network, as my wife's Mac and iPhone use the same network without difficulty. We've created new users to rule out any software conflicts. I was told that they believe this affects others.
Most of us figured this out within a few days.
How long did it take them to figure this out? Also “they beleive this affects others.”? Looks at the reply count to this thread.
Please relax. I come here for polite info and discussion, and there's precious few places for that these days. Truly, thanks.
Maybe Apple stopped some of iCloud services because of high usage all together....
So the 'non important' services will be cut of, that other services do work... Nobody nows. But it's quite annoying at all.
Especially now, when many have to work from home.
Looks like... Makes me think about, that Microsoft has better services at all. Have a look at MS Teams comparing to Facetime. It's huge. No, absolutely no way. Their services are rubbish, that’s all.
