Other If you’re in the market for a 16, which model are you looking at?

Not considering keeping your 15 Pro for a few years considering it’ll be very similar to a 16 Pro and only 12 months old at this point?

It really depends on the camera of the iPhone 16 Pro. If there’s very little or no change, I’ll keep my iPhone 15 Pro for another year. However, if the iPhone 16 Pro has a better camera upgrade or is like for like with the iPhone 16 Pro Max's camera, I’ll definitely upgrade.

Thinking about the 16 PM, but still very unsure. My 14 PM still runs well, but if AI turns out to be really good that may make my decision for upgrading. Also if the rumors are true the new color is "rose", I will probably skip. I have the Deep Purple 14 PM right now, and it's been my favorite color to date. I would like something special like that again. First time in a while I am looking forward to the keynote.

Might drop from a 15 pro max with battery drain issues to a maxed out standard 16 or 16 plus. ProMotion is nice I won’t lie. But I don’t use anything else on my phone that’s locked to the Pro. I take pictures and videos mostly up close, I don’t game on my phone. I just use social media and listen to audio. Sometimes watch a video if I’m in bed and not near my iPad Pro or OLED tv. The lower price makes upgrading easier as well. I was wanting to keep this phone for 3 years but this battery isn’t going to last. It’s down to 89% less than a year in.

Im content with my 14PM, but if I were in the market I’d go with the 16 Pro. The Max is getting cumbersome to carry around and operate.

I'm currently using my old LG V60 until the iPhone 16 line-up comes out. It's a toss-up between the 16 Pro or the 16 Pro Max. The 16 Pro Max will apparently be shorter and slimmer than my LG V60, if 10g heavier, so it should be perfectly manageable. However, if the battery upgrades on the regular Pro make a difference, then it would be refreshing to have a device that's more portable and easier to use one-handed.

What puts me off the Pro Max that is that iOS doesn't take advantage of the extra screen real-estate. There's no split-screen functionality or floating window.

What do you think? Should I get an iPad for multitasking, media consumption etc. and an iPhone 16 Pro for everything else? Or is bigger really just better and I should go for the 16 Pro Max?

IMO if you want that kind of multi tasking, then the iPad is where its at... And the Pro Max for the best of both worlds?

I won't go smaller than the Pro Max personally; I've big hands and don't like small phones...

Very happy with the size of my Pixel Fold as it's a foldable; but wouldn't want my iPhone that small personally

My 13 pro has woeful battery life, health is 84%. It's served me well though, I've not had a personal phone for so long ask I've had my 13P.

It seems like it is a limited edition so if it is really perfect I don’t want to miss it. I kind of hate all the current Pro colors so having a good color option would be nice.

Definitely going Pro Max regardless. I want the 6.9” screen and biggest battery possible.

Yes you’re right, in the lead up to any new iPhone release there are always rumours about the ‘next one’. I’ll be getting the 16 Pro and if the 17 or 18 turns out to be worth buying I’ll trade in my 16. Though the improvements in each new iPhone release tend to be quite minor compared to the early years.

Not in the market but I'd always go for the highest end model. Having used a family members 15 Plus I think if had "ProMotion" display then i'd settle for that. Using the 15 Plus/15 Pro Max feels basically the same except minor things but the major problem for me is the crappy refresh rate. 60Hz is so 2004.

Unfortunately its going to be the same again this year in late 2024, where Apple will still sell an £800 iPhone with great specs like 3nm A18 chip, 8GB RAM, good camera etc but all ultimately let down by its 60hz screen. The iPhone 17 will finally have Promotion screens in 2025 though, so there is that to look forward to i suppose!

I’ll probably go from 15PM to 16PM. I can upgrade through my carrier and send in my 15PM, and the phone installment plan will replace my current one with no change to my bill unless I decide to go up in storage. I have 150 of 256gb left so I don’t foresee the need for a storage bump.

I am going to buy the iPhone 16 Pro and I will keep it until 2027 or 2028. By then Apple should come out with a brand new iPhone design since in 2027 it's iPhone's 20th anniversary.
