Might drop from a 15 pro max with battery drain issues to a maxed out standard 16 or 16 plus. ProMotion is nice I won’t lie. But I don’t use anything else on my phone that’s locked to the Pro. I take pictures and videos mostly up close, I don’t game on my phone. I just use social media and listen to audio. Sometimes watch a video if I’m in bed and not near my iPad Pro or OLED tv. The lower price makes upgrading easier as well. I was wanting to keep this phone for 3 years but this battery isn’t going to last. It’s down to 89% less than a year in.

I just checked my battery on my iPhone 15 pro and after a year it’s down to 93% I would have expected it to be a little higher than that.

I originally went with the 15 pro over the 15 due to the gaming as I am a gamer but the screen isn’t great as my eyes are getting older and it only dawned on my last year that there’s no way I’d be playing games on this size screen.

I myself think the next upgrade phone wise will be a standard and not a pro iPhone and put that money saved into the iPad Pro which gives me the oled screen and a bigger screen to play games on.

Not every one needs the pro so I agree with your thinking here

I may go with a 16 pro this year. I have a 15 pro max, but am thinking about going with something smaller— even though we will probably see a jump in size this iteration.

I don’t care about cameras but I’m leaning to 16 Pro because 16 and 16 Plus are most likely using last years chip.

Pretty sure all will be using chips from the N3E line (A18) and will avoid previous chips from the N3B line (A17). But there might be multiple flavors of A18 (A18 and A18pro) with different core counts. It a mystery

I wonder if this poll changes much now that the specs of the iPhone 16 is officially available.
