Sorry, I should have been more specific. For the record I have been using search, and it has helped me with some things. I don't understand how to SSH onto my ipod. Or use cyberduck. There is no thread on how to SSH to an ipod. Don't be an ass, because you are more savvy than some of us.
Jake, neither did I. None of it. Never used the Terminal before. SOMEHOW, though, after SEARCHING a LOT, I found how get to the touch from the Terminal using SSH. It ended up being on a touchdev/wiki page:
http://www.touchdev.net/wiki/Jailbreak_Guide
And finally, one thing that you would never have found, cuz the author deleted the content in the first post of the thread for some reason. It was called the Jailbreak Thread Repository and had all of the updated instructions in one place. Don't know why he or she felt compelled to pull it down, except for the fact that it didn't get STICKIED. In any case, here's the part about the iPhone apps:
iPhone Native Apps
BOTGOD's BLOG: http://www.botgod.net/ (Will remove link on BoTGoD or mod's request!)
- Install all ".app" folders into /Applications/ on your iPod.
- Install GMM.framework into /System/Frameworks/ on your iPod.
- Install MobileMailSettings.bundle into /System/PreferenceBundles/ on your iPod.
- Log in to your iPod using an ssh client, then type this command: /bin/chmod -Rf +x /Applications/ (You MUST do this for apps to work!)
Once you've used Ari's iJailbreak 0.3, the only thing you'll need to do is update Summerboard using the 2.11 alpha. That's about it (unless he's already incorporated that... I am not sure. If your dock ends up at the top of the page, you definitely will).
If I were you, I'd start from scratch with the latest version of iJailbreak.
