.3 is not working for me. I'm not too good at this stuff. I assume I find the IP address by hitting the arrow next to the wireless network my touch is connected too. When I enter this in the field, the terminal pops up and says IP address, script, bash, script no such file or directory (something along those lines. I'm never prompted for any authen. or password. What am I doing wrong here? I jailbroke with 0.2 yesterday. Do I need to jailbreak with .3? I assume my iPod is connected via the dock connector while .3 is running? Thanks for any help.

Anyone? The IP address I keep getting is like 10.0.1.198

Does that look right??

Yep just enter the IP address as displayed. Since you are on wireless your router will be sending you a local IP.

OK, I do that in the field when prompted and get this:

xxxxx-xxxx-computer:~ xxxxxx$ sftp root@10.0.1.198 < script
-bash: script: No such file or directory
xxxxx-xxxx-computer:~ xxxxx$

(x'd out my name).

i am having a hard time trying to get into terminal. i have been following a tutorial and it says that i need to go to terminal and type ssh -1 root and my ipods ip adress. i did this and i got a message saying no address asscociated with nodename?
any help with this?

thanks for version .3 but i thought it would of been able to install the iphone apps without a wifi connection like it did with installer.app :(

I'm getting the sh: line 1: ./iphuc: No such file or directory (127) error also

I get that error message too. Arix, do you have a suggestion? I've tried it 4 times, fully restoring and starting from scratch each time.

I am getting the sh: line 1: ./iphuc: No such file or directory (127) error also. Multiple retry attempts, restarts, resetting iPod Touch, removing and installing with new iJailbreak directory, etc. No luck.

.3

Hey AriX,
This is great stuff you put out. iJailbreak .2 worked great for me last night. I wen to do the iPhone apps tonight with .3 and some work fine and other apps don't. Namely maps, mail, stock go to a blank screen for a few seconds then return to main. Any suggestions?:)

Thanks... and a question.

Hey AriX,

Thanks so much for iJailbreak, it has worked great for me both times (.2 and .3)! Really amazing app! Just one question, does downloading the iPhone apps fix the adding calender issue? Just wondering if I still need the tweak from Installer.app?

Thanks again!

You need to type ssh -* root ip address. The asterisk should be a lowercase L. NOT a 1!

ok now i got that to work.. now when i try to do the installer.app i am typing:
chmod -Rf +x/Applications/ and it is telling me that it isn't found...

Oh, man. I'm fully tarded. My problem was I just copied .3 to my application folder instead of the entire folder with the resources.

So I fixed that and was finally prompted for a password in terminal. My new problem is that when prompted, I can enter in anything. The cursor gets solid and all i can do is hit enter to bring it down one line, but that won't work right.

Question: if I can actually get this to work, do the iPhone apps show up in the menu, or do you install them from the list of junk inside the installer app?

Absolutely Perfect!

I just jailbroke my iPod touch on a PPC iMac, and it worked flawlessly! Thanks so much!:)

Can anyone post screenshots of the .3 jailbreak?
AriX - Do you plan on posting a youtube video just as you did for .2 ?
A video where you jailbreak a factory fresh ipodd touch with 0.3 would be awesome!!!
Thanks a million for all your hard work.

Just enter the password when prompted. It won't show up in the terminal when you type. Don't worry just type it and press enter.

Hey AriX,

First time poster.
Been following your work the past couple of days and have to say that I am astonished. Great job!!

Just wanted to say thanks for a great job done. I was curious and a bit hesitant however, it took less than 10min and the installation worked flawlessly.

I did notice however, when I installed SummerBoard, all went to the top and I couldnt do anything. I plugged it back in and was going to restore, but when I clicked the ok button to restore the touch made a sound and it allowed me to touch again. It was however, still with the bottom row at the top. So, I uninstalled it. Any ideas

Also curious. What is with changing the ip address somewhere? Is that necessary from me to do and I am not quite sure I understand completely how to do it. Same thing with the password changing.

Please advise.

Thank you in advance.

Is there some manual around of how to do this? I assume I click on jailbreak icon. Can I do this from the folder on the desktop? Do I need the ipod plugged in yet?
