Thanks so much for your effort AriX!

Same here, except I'm 16 :p

BTW, does this also installs Installer.app/Trip1PogoStick on on the touch or do I have to do it manually? (Sorry I haven't got my touch yet - it's supposed to arrive by Tuesday:eek:)

Cheers:)
Daniel

Yep, it will do both of those automatically :)

i wasnt sure weather to jailbrake or not. but seeing theres now a prog, im going to give it a shot when i get my touch! thanks for the prog dude.

Hmm... Open Terminal, and do sudo mkdir /opt/local, then sudo mkdir /opt/local/lib, then sudo cp /Applications/iJailBreak/resources/readline/libreadline.5.2.dylib /opt/local/lib/

That may give some errors, but it'll probably work... Once you've done that run the jailbreak again.

This don´t work, I still get the error
AppleScript Error
mkdir: /opt: File exists (1)

What should I do?

Go into the Terminal and do sudo mv /opt /optold.

Then jailbrake, and once it's done, go back into the Terminal and do sudo rm /opt && sudo mv /optold /opt

That should do it.

Got through the Jailbreak part. It said turn off and then turn back on the ipod. Did that. Pushed ok.

Gave me an error that said "iPhuc not found" I have the entire folder in the Applications folder and iPhuc is present in there. It has been sitting on "installing ssh" for a few minutes now.

Extracting your zip gives an error everytime though too.

Good job with the Jailbreak AriX. I'm just hoping this won't bark for more requests: "HOW DO I INSTALL PROGZ THAT DUN UZ INSTALLER.APP????"

Ugh.

Anyway, five stars. :)

having problems trying to unzip as well.

Using the free stuffit expander.

I was downloading using firefox and it was giving me problems with the unzip.

Switched over to Safari and it downloaded and extracted just fine. The folder now shows the same image as the touch. I am going to restore, uninstall the old prog, and then try again. Should work this time. Ill let you know.

That was it, I only need to do to go into Terminal and do sudo mv /opt/optold.
After this it works :)
Thank you man, now I will go to your site and donate for your great work!

It worked Perfectly. If anyone is having problems extracting, dont bother because it wont install properly. Make it does that.

you have to drag your ijailbreak icon from the desktop into you applications folder then run it from there

that doesnt do anything, i downloaded it, then placed the itouch icon which is the ijailbreak app into my appl folder, doulbe clicked it and nothing happenes, do i have to put that other folder in my appls too or leave it their or leave it on desktop or what?

There's a folder with an icon for the iPod touch. When you open that, you get another folder and an app (icon is also iPod touch). You have to put the entire folder in the Applications folder, not just the app.

i only see ijailbreak then i have to click show in finder, then it shows ijailbreak app and a resources folder, i tried putting both of those in my app folder and still get the problem.

Hmmm... mine just opens with a double click. They need to be in the same folder. So why not just make a new one and have it in "Applications/iJailbreak" where the new folder is entitled "iJailbreak?"

For anyone who wants to use SummerBoard: http://www.apptapp.com/summerboard/
Follow the instructions in manual install. Also, I manually jailbreaked my friend's iTouch this morning and installed SummerBoard, and it works perfectly. I still think I should have waited for iJailBreak though... (good job AriX :p )

And @ArmanSLR, I think you need to drag the whole iJailBreak folder into the applications folder, not just the app and resources.
