It's crazy that you would complain about the charging. Is that really a big deal? It charges via standard lightning cable, lasts for days, and can be boosted back up with fifteen seconds in that awkward position you complain about sticking out of the lightning port.

Would you rather them have that not be an option? They're offering that as a stopgap so you can keep working if it were to ever die. You don't even need to ever do that if it bothers you so much.

Other points, valid - but I can't get over the complaints about the charging.

This is SO wrong as to be laughable. The iPads did not get 3D Tough due to the weight it would have added to the tablets. That's all. It's no ploy. It's not there simply because it would add too much weight and thickness to the tablet. Everyone here seems to think Apple does everything just to screw their customers. Every time I see a post about this, I want to scream.

Just a little quick math shows adding 3D Touch to the iPad Pro would take the weight from 723 grams to over 770 grams atleast. When they figure out how to do 3D Touch without the weight gain, that is when you will see it in iPads..

I'm just wondering, where do you get the facts that prove Apple hasn't figured out how to add 3D touch without adding close to 10% of the weight?

I have no idea either way, but if Apple is like any other tech company, they already perfected 3D touch, and are developing new technology while slowly introducing old tech...

Lol. Not only do they have the facts but they also find it Laughable how "So" Wrong (without fact) other posters are...' As if' apple care about an ipad weighing slightly more (47g)on a brand new design with no previous model to compare or complain to..

However that post is so Assured that i think they must be an insider ;)? Why else would one be so defensive of a multi billion dollar company planning strategies for future releases?

Its honestly like after all this time folk dont see how apple and big buisness roll (fair play to them)

'I personally, don't think apple were that concerned about my wrists when they opted to bypass 3D touch 'this time round' and am sure when it turns up on the pro2 any slight gain in weight will be worth the upgrade :D

Sure, of course! :)

Thank you!

My main issue is that I really feel very lost. I am very trusted for my lack of progress (been trying to learn to art for years).I just learned that I should be focusing on anatomy so my drawings look good even without painting them.

But I don't what to do next. If I should focus on Glen Vilppu's drawing class with I own, or Loomis or Proko's art lessons. I don't even know if I should keep drawing basic shapes and gesture or move on to already.

Here is a sample of a painting of mine.

Also do you think it's a good idea to buy an iPad for reference and reading drawing books?

Thank you for reading.

Think about how long they have been working on the tech for the iPad Pro screen. To stop and add 3D Touch after all that work would have delayed the Pro for atleast another year. And if they had figured out how to add 3D Touch without the added weight, wouldn't they have done that with the iPhones? Think before you type.

Gee I always thought 256gb or higher like a Surface.

For a wifi only device like the Surface Pro, sure, you'd want 256 or more.. With a LTE device, you can use the cloud for files you don't access everyday..

And the "stair stepping" issue

Only applies to SP3 pen and not the new SP4 pen.

You can get by with 128GB on Surface Pro since it has micro SD slot for 200+GB card where you can store files and install software.

And there are Lightning flash drives and wifi drives you CAN use to expand storage on the iPad too.. And once the new USB3 adapters come out for the iPP, then who knows what else you can connect to the Pro.

Won't work if it leaves your desk since it'll stick out and you'll likely break it off or lose it along with your confidential data. WIFI storage isn't a solution either since you won't be able to connect to internet/WLAN at the same time. All inferior solutions to a tiny micro SD card slot hidden under the Surface Pro's kickstand.

Then wait for the Mophie space case... Who cares, 128gb is enough...

Data costs money plus nice to have stuff on your device when there isn't any...

Ain't nothing better than internal fast reliable storage...

How long have they been working on the iPP screen?

Have they limited the pro's storage size to 128 GB because it also would have added too much weight? I mean, they are able to fit the same 128 GB storage on iphones... Or was it because they want to wait, and make it another big selling point of future models?

The point is, companies develop new hardware, and hold it back to continue to push current hardware, if they didn't they would never be able to keep up as R&D (and manufacturing for launch day) takes a LOT longer than 1 year.

The unique aspect of many Apple enthusiasts is they tend to be vain. Instead of mentioning how useful an Apple product is, they're more concerned about boosting their self esteem by being seen with something cool.

Looks are very important and that's how Apple gets them to pay high prices. With their identity attached to their things they will pay whatever Apple wants them to pay. Apple is very clever.

Dad I can't come to dinner, someone on the internet is wrong!

Or, you know, they like cool stuff for themselves because they think it's cool and therefore enjoy it. It seems that you are reading "cool" to only mean image shown to other people. When I think something is cool, I get enjoyment out of it intrinsically. If I got my own starship, I would think it is pretty cool, but not because other people might see me in it.

I am not sure how the performance of the iPad Pro is so easily dismissed as the fundamental reason alone to own the Pro? A9X and 4gb ram is a HUGE upgrade over the current iPad Air 2 and probably even the next Air 3.
That alone is worth the price upgrade over the Air 2 even if you just were in the market for a new tablet and wanted the best. Factor in all the other huge advancements like speakers, pencil, screen size, etc. and the iPad Pro is not a hard sell.

IPad 128 WIFI is $949 and a iPad Air 2 128 WIFI is $699. A $250 difference between the two models to upgrade is so cheap for what more you get in the Pro is a no brainier.

I thought there might be a portability issue between the two but I found out in the first week that I carry the iPad Pro exactly the same way as I carried my Air 2. It's not like either of these tablets are going to fit in your back pocket.

Exactly. The new chip that would allow 256gb just came out earlier this year. That means they haven't had time to properly test it. That's why no tablet has 256gb. And if any company just stopped at some point in the development of a device just because a new tech came out that would be cool to add, new devices would never see market. Everyone wants the latest and greatest in every device, not caring how well it works. Until there's an issue then everyone bitches that Apple should have waited to make sure it works properly. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, right?

Unless you're Microsoft and put 256 GB with 8GB ram on a tablet that's only slightly bigger than the air 2 ( yes I owned them both).

Apple definitely holds things back.

Hence why the pro gets the old Touch ID and 32 GB ram..

There's simply no excuse.

A Surface Pro is not a tablet. It's an Ultrabook without a keyboard and runs a full SSD instead of eMMC. Completely different setup.

...that I would often hold as a tablet, and use as a tablet, in tablet situations.

I'm sorry you didn't like it but I think you should try with Wacom stylus to see if it fits your needs. I have no problem with my Wacom Bamboo Alpha stylus with Wacom Paper app. I'm sure Wacom might have something for iPad Pro in the future.

"The Tablet That Can Replace Your Laptop"

Quoted from the official SP4 website. You could understand where others would be confused with your assertion its 'not a tablet' when microsoft themselves market it as a tablet

I have a SP4. I don't care what it is called. It is a device that, by design, requires at least a mouse or digital pen. In other words, it could not be used to the full extent with only touch input.
