(The 128GB RAM has been here a week, waiting)
Wanted to order on Friday night (France) but money transfer didn't arrive in time on my account so I was only able to order on Monday and yet my card hasn't been charged and it's in processing and not yet ready to ship. My configuration is not even that much modified, only the SSD to 1To and different keyboard plus a trackpad
Yet it's expected to arrive on 26 August, hopefully will come quicker since I've paid the extra 12€ for express shipping lol

can anyone recommend a good stand for the 27"? My old 21.5" suffered from dust getting under the screen and I obviously don't want the same thing to happen with this model. I was hoping a desk stand would maybe help with that.
Received mine and set it up. Like a few of you I purchased the previous model a couple of weeks ago and returned it for the new one. Its noticably faster and the camera is improved. I have been enrolled in the Apple Beta Software program and despite trying every way I know how to force the download OS 11.0 (BigSur), the Installer is not identifying it as available for download and tells me I have the latest beta.

My BTO just changed to “shipped” UPS in Ireland is awaiting the goods. Hopefully the luck of the Irish will work its magic through customs en route to Pennsylvania
I can’t believe that I’ve managed to last so many months - these last few days have felt like torture! Hopefully my order from the 6th comes soon and doesn’t arrive on the 27th like it is supposed to.
My old busted 15” 2011 MBP is in some recycling bin at my nearest Apple store and this terrible work laptop just isn’t cutting it.
Some of the iMacs ordered on the 5th have started shipping, so hopefully the rest of those who ordered that day will ship by tomorrow? Fingers crossed! ?
All the Apple devices I've ordered over the years have come from China. My 2017 iMac came from China, but this custom 2020 one is coming from Ireland. How much production do they do there? Does anyone know how common this is? I've no qualms, just curious as to what are some criteria that might dictate where your iMac, or any Apple device for that matter, originates from.
My Late 2013 BTO iMac came from California. My 2019 came from China. Wouldn't mind my 2020 coming from Ireland.
Yes, mine shipped from shanghai Monday (every option except 32gb ram). Supposedly with delivery courier locally today, hoping might arrive tomorrow. Ordered 5th, scheduled 21-28 delivery
Hey now, that was fast! My BTO went from “preparing to ship” to “left FedEx origin facility” in about 15 hours. It’s still in Shanghai but that’s not too long of a journey to Seattle. It still shows “Delivers Aug 21, 2020” by Standard but I really doubt it will be another week.
I’m not 100% sure but between 12 and 15 hours.
Edit: sorry that was prepare to ship to ship. I ordered on the 6th so it took a week to process.
