Mine has gone from Ireland to Germany. It’s taking the tour of Europe I’ve always wanted. ? But it’s going the wrong way. It’s now further away from Phoenix!

Ordered on Tuesday, out for delivery today. I went with the mid spec iMac from theEDUstore. Staggering value especially as it includes a 4 year warranty.

£1,591.20 delivered with 4 year warranty

  • 3.3GHz 6-core 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor
  • Turbo Boost up to 4.8GHz
  • 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 memory, configurable up to 128GB
  • 512GB SSD storage
  • Radeon Pro 5300 with 4GB of GDDR6 memory
  • Two Thunderbolt 3 ports
  • Retina 5K 5120x2880 P3 display with True Tone (optional nano-texture glass available)
  • Gigabit Ethernet
  • Magic Mouse 2
  • Magic Keyboard - British
That's a £407 saving over non-education pricing and a £206 saving over Apple education pricing.

£68 for 16GB Crucial memory from Amazon arriving today.

Does anyone have a BTO from 4 Aug that’s still in the processing stage? My delivery date is 19-21 Aug.

My BTO iMac was pending on my credit card since 8/5 when I ordered it. Now pending order has disappeared and it’s still not charged..... not sure what that means.... order still says processing and the site says “We have everything necessary to complete your order. We’ll update your delivery date when your order is preparing to ship.” So hopefully all is still on track.

I cancelled my order with Apple for the 10 Core and switched to the 8 Core and bought through Expercom because of that sale they have going on. The difference was $3,200 after tax on the 10, with the sale and the CPU change I got the 8 core for $2,500 out the door...I feel better about it.

I suspect the 10 core with throttle and not be a huge improvement over the 8 core in the end. I work in Audio production and graphic design but my files aren't crazy huge and I work pretty clean. I'll have 72GB of RAM ready to drop in when it gets here.

did you get it yet? I work in audio production and am curious abouthow loud the fans will be when using logic and cubase. I usually run lots and lots of plugins !

anyone here upgrade from a mac running High Sierra to the new Mac with that, one or two year newer OS at this point? Just wondering how it went if you did a data transfer from mac to mac. My 2011 still has iTunes as one app instead of broken out into multiple apps like it is with the OSs. Stuff like that. Just wondering if there was something I needed to watch out for moving data from such an old computer to my soon to be delivered 2020 iMac.

As an aside, Im hesitant to do what some people do and "start fresh", as Im concerned Ill forget something on my old computer or move something wrong if I do it all manually.

Custom order placed August 4, credit card charged August 8, item still at at Processing. They for some reason attempted to charge (over-authorize as Apple called it) my credit card again on August 11 which Amex declined for my protection. Payments team corrected the issue the next day and order details goes back to Processing. This morning August 13 I get notification it's shipped. UPS tracking number assigned.

Has anyone with 10 gigabit made it past processing yet? Might just be me but I haven't seen any yet.

Mine just hit “preparing to ship” (ordered on the 6th)

That's great news! Just want to confirm, you added 10-gigabit ethernet right? Your post on the previous page said gigabit not 10 gigabit so I just want to make sure. Thanks again!
