iMac shipping status?

Well, I'm just disgusted with the local Apple Reseller store. So, I just reordered from Apple on line and will cancel the original order.

Here's my status:

same ship dates as me except i got teh stock config 24" and ordered it last thursday

I'm at 'NOT YET SHIPPED' Does is go straight to 'SHIPPED' or does it go to 'SHIPPING' or something else? I'm doing my nut in here,l as it says it should have shipped a few days ago!! :(

Unreal! I ordered mine on the 17th or August, not even a sniff of being shipped yet!!!! I don't think Apple have even looked at the order! Seems like the UK market is way down the pecking order!! I only orederd a standard 24 inch too!! This is the first time I've ordered online from Apple, never again - very unimpressed!

What was your estimated ship and delivery date? Is it well past that? If so, call Apple and complain, maybe they'll toss in a freebie.

No fair! ;) I ordered mine on the 18th (Educational order,20", 2.4, 1GB/320GB, WIRELESS Mouse, shipping to Northeast USA) and it still hasn't budged! Today's the last day of the shipping window, but it's pretty clear I won't be playing with it over the holiday weekend. Guess that means I can go to all those parades after all. :)

My estimated shipping delivery is 22-26 August, but my order status says 'NOT YET SHIPPED'. I'm getting really frustrated as lots of people seem to be getting theirs with not much problem.
 
iMac 2.8 status

Still waiting...

I ordered mine from authorized Apple reseller on Aug. 14th in the morning and today is 29th, I still have not received it yet. I find that Apple is overwhelmed with orders. Hopefully I'll get it by this long weekend as I can catch up alot of work on a faster machine. To those who got by the weekend... enjoy.

I ordered mine on the 23rd and its suppose to ship tommorw at the soonest. Have you called the place you ordered it from?

That's sweet, I'll be biting my fingernails hoping it arrives before Labour Day weekend starts.

Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to shipping does it. I've found ordering from Apple Canada to be pretty accurate. I noticed a couple of days ago the iMac shipping dates moved from 5-7 to 3-5 days so maybe they're clearing out some of the backlog.
 
:eek: I have just been on the phone with an apple representative guys and it appears that the reason so many orders have been delayed is because one of the order management depots has a very big back log due to the unexpected popularity of the 24" model. It would explain why only certain orders are still being delayed.

Its up the street from my house!! Hopefully it got there early enough to get on the truck, otherwise I'm going to call them and see if I can pick it up.

Its not scheduled to be delivered until tomorrow by 10:30am.

I guess I'm a little frustrated with my status. Seems that all the delay comments have been to do with the 24" iMacs. Mine is a 20", no wireless stuff, so no apparent delays there. Ordered the 21st, scheduled to ship from yesterday to tomorrow. Hope that still holds. Delivery from the 30th to the 6th. Either way, I don't expect to get it before next week.

Nuts.

getting on the apple website and buying a base 24" which is what i got gives basically the same dates i have. Even though i ordered last thursday. You should try calling and asking about your order.

mine is exactly the same except for a BT mouse, just hoping it changes status either tonight or tomorrow

I will give them the quoted time frame for shipping before making that call. I figure that's the least I can do as far as giving them the chance to live up to what they promised at the time of order. (Ordered online through Apple by the way) If it goes beyond tomorrow night, I will call and see what can be done. It's like a 10 year old waiting for Christmas I guess. It will get here when it gets here.
