iMac shipping status?

This is common with notebooks, new iPods, or any Mac that just came out, or BTOs. I just thought they might have a lot of these already made and shipped to America.

Question: UPS or Fedex on your shpping? Congrats on the shipment! IT will get here pretty fast, don't worry.

You should have it tomorrow... that was the path of my ipod that arrived today... I am still waiting for the imac to ship. My printer also arrived today.
 
Some of you that say prepared for shipment are those 20inchers, or only 24s?

wanted the .mac but had to pay the 300$ extra for the screen updgrade, but it was DEFINITELY worth it :)

My changed order from Wednesday morning now states: Prepared for shipment

And this is a 2.8Ghz with a 750GB HDD.

I'll be quite happy if it ships on Fri 8.10 as originally expected. That means I should have it between Mon-Wed next week. My 4GB of RAM from OWC which I ordered on Wednesday morning after changing my order will has also shipping and is scheduled for delivery on Monday.
 
I ordered the 24" 2.4 model, but upgraded it to 2.8 and to a 500GB HD on Tuesday afternoon. I bought RAM through another source, 4GB total.

I have the 4GB, it came in today.

I checked the Apple Status earlier this afternoon and it basically had no status information. However, I log-in now and says "Prepared for Shipment".

Ships by: Aug 10 - Aug 14
Delivers by: Aug 14 - Aug 20

If it ships Friday, sucks about the weekend, doubt it will come on a Saturday. That's okay, I will be gone most of the day Saturday and Sunday and won't have time to mess with it much, don't need that hanging over my shoulder all weekend. :D

Forgot to order a MiniDVI to DVI converter to add my 24" Dell monitor as a secondary display. I should swing by the Apple store and pick one up tomorrow or Sunday afternoon.

Other people have reported very long delivery times for the wireless keyboard. I very much hope that mine will ship as estimated. Has anyone actually had a wireless keyboard shipped?

Update Aug 15th: Apple moved the estimated shipping date forward by a week - likely the wireless keyboard causing the delay. I cancelled the order and will get a standard configuration from a local reseller today.

I ordered a 20" with wireless mouse not keyboard on Wed and it is now prepared for shipment, god i hate weekends:p

in UK, ordered 24" 2.8ghz option with 750gb hdd.

estimated ship date wed 15th aug, estimated delivery date between rhe 24th and 27th.

still has status as not yet shipped :(

how long before it is due to ship should the status say prepare for shipment?
 
Wow i am impressed with apple. Shipped the imac in 24 hrs instead of 5 days from now. Fedex is also delivering on a saturday. Woot ill have it tomorrow!
 
Mine has an estimated delivery date of the 14-17th and just left China today. So it will probably ship about a week before your delivery date.
 
Ordered mine at 5 pm Eastern time , & it still isnt prepared to ship. WTF! My Imac and printer will be here today. Only took my Ipod 2 days from China. Not bad but I want my Imac!! Just a 24" with 500Gb 1 Mb ram Wirel;ess MOuse Reg. keyboard. 4 Gig ram from OCW will be here this morning also. Damn it!

There has to be some rule about quoting yourself but anyway, I just got the shipped confirmation from Apple in my e-mail and it says the delivery date is the 14th so I will get it Tuesday instead of Friday. It seems like the ship dates are turning out to be near the beginning of the estimates.
 
My 24" 2.8 750 that was Prepared for shipment last night now has updated to shipped and I have FedEx tracking out of Shanghai. Considering it is coming ground and nothing ground has ever taken more than 3-4 days for me, I expect to get it Tues-Thur next week, Friday at the latest. My RAM should arrive today or Monday.
 
can anybody tell me why mine got exported like 4 times?

Mine said Prepared late yesterday and shipped this morning. I would expect yours to ship today or monday.
