iMac shipping status?

Don't worry about your delievery date. It's most likely incorrect. Mine still has a scheduled delievery date of this coming Wednesday, when its already in my city. I think that date is an estimate to cover their ass, hehe:p
 
Sweet, it departed Memphis at 1538!! Now there is still hope for me to get it tomorrow!

Departed FedEx location

MEMPHIS, TN

Now I'm wondering if it flies out of there or drives to where ever it is going next. On flightaware.com there don't seem to be any flights from Memphis to anywhere near W. Virginia.

If it's anything like my iPods from a couple weeks ago, they left Memphis at around the same time as my iMac did today, arrived in WV at around 0330 in the morning and were delivered to my front door at around 1030! I'll be crossing my fingers all night now!
 
FedEx Flights

I think FedEx flies the big jets everyday of the week and emergency shipments are delivered on Sundays.... perhaps they are making up for the bad weather or whatever and Apple is paying ... hope it is a happy Monday for all of you.

On FedEx vehicle for delivery

Congrats! It's just 7am here so its not out for delievery yet. My wife is letting me open it before she gets home from work. LOL happy iMac day everybody!
 
Mine should be here within the hour, in the past FedEx has delivered around 1030 or so. I just get to stare at the box until I go to class and then wait for the wifey to come home tonight! It's just nice to know I don't have to wait this week out for it at all. Congrats on the deliveries and hopefully the next time I post on here, it will be on my Mac. Have fun!

Edit: Nice little side note. Steve from Apple (from the post before regarding the email I sent to Jobs' email) just called to let me know that my iMac was on the way. I have to say their customer service so far has been far and beyond my expectations. I apologized if I over reacted at all with the shipping ordeal, and he assured me that with a big purchase it's natural to be concerned about where it is. He told me to hold on to his number (I believe he is at the Austin, TX Campus as it's a 512 number) so that if I have any issues to give him a call! It's nice to know I can potentially bypass the first tier reps at the 1-800 number. Perhaps this has to do with having AppleCare? Either way, I'm happy!
 
FedEx truck is here!!!! Man I feel like a kid again at Christmas! Haven't felt this way since I came back from Afghanistan!
 
My package just arrived. The brown box was damaged as well as the iMac box so I **** a brick. But, nothing at all damaged on the iMac itself. So, I lucked out!

Are you guys going to install the 1.1 iMac update?

edit: I love it! I also installed all the updates.

Phew, thank God nothing was wrong with your iMac! That would have sent me over the edge. Yeah I updated everything too, I figure I can always go back to square one if I notice anything bad going down, seeing as how I don't have anything transferred over yet. Have fun!

Yeah I am in the Army. They let me out for a couple of years to go to ROTC and become an Officer, and then I'm right back in the game. I miss it quite a bit, but at least I got the Education Discount!
 
Congrats to all that have gotten their new toys!! I have a few more days to go. I ordered my 24 in (refurb) Thurs. It is supposed to ship by the 4th and I paid for overnight delivery so I know I will have it by Friday but still the wait is killing me! I keep checking my debit card to see if they have charged me yet. I have never wanted $1500 to vanish out of my account so bad LOL!!! Hopefully it will ship tomorrow, then I will have it weds.

Also ordered a 2gb upgrade from OWC. Once the iMac arrives I will sit and wait for Leopard, once I have that on order I will be pretty much broke LOL.
 
Damn Chinese Holiday!

I just talked to the FedEx international priority shipping department. My package has been listed as "left origin" in China since 9/29 9:30 PM (their time), which was 56 hours ago. Of course, it says "package received after cutoff". The person I talked to said “it did not make it on the plane”, and that "left origin" simply meant that it was waiting to get on a plane to leave. He also said that the Chinese "golden week" holiday meant that they have skeleton crews working and everything will be delayed.

This is my first Mac. I've been waiting for a year now (was waiting for Leopard) and can’t wait anymore. I bought it knowing full well that I would buy Leopard in a few weeks, and now I have to wait even longer! Noooo!

Cool, just one day behind mine. Mine has arrived in the UK and is on track for delivery tomorrow, so yours should be Thursday I guess?
