iMac shipping status?

I still haven't been assigned a courier for the iMac and Nano yet, and supopsedly its coming anytime between 28th and 30th it says.

Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 26 Sep 2007

Well i usppose that means its updated today and that its still in tranist to me

I can happen because my iMacs have always arrived on the sooner date. One time the FedEx driver told me he brought it out early because he knew I would be waiting for my Apple. How cool was that? Your extra shipping charges should get you some benefit! Keep us informed.

FEDEX has yet to update my shipping status since this morning and it still says:

Mine has been that way since yesterday morning. I got a message on Friday that it had shipped and would be delivered by Monday. I called Monday afternoon and they said the delay was because of the typhoon. They don't know when it will move. yay.

Apparently the Fedex website just hasn't updated yet because I called and the Rep told me that it's on track for delivery on Friday! This anticipation is killing me!

Thank you, I am enjoying every moment of it, that computer is faster than my G5 tower at work. Beautiful machine. To those waiting it's worth the wait... patience... I waited almost 6 weeks.

I ordered mine early on Monday the 24th hoping that it would ensure a delivery this week, but I'm starting to feel pessimistic. It had a shipping date of 25-27 SEP and a delivery date of 27SEP-02OCT. I paid the extra $33 hoping that it would push things along, but if it doesn't ship tomorrow then I will have to wait through the weekend.

See, this is why I'm upset. I ordered mine on the 10th. The 10th of AUGUST. Still waiting.

Apparently the Fedex website just hasn't updated yet because I called and the Rep told me that it's on track for delivery on Friday! This anticipation is killing me!

Okay so FedEx must hire people that like to lie for no reason because I called today to check up on it (the website still hasn't been updated) and they told me that it still hasn't left Shanghi despite the guy telling me last night that it was on its way and due for delivery on Friday. Grrrr....

I was very envious last night that your iMac was on its way because mine has been waiting for a Fedex pick up since yesterday morning at 5 am. Sorry they got your hopes up. Apple originally said mine would ship between 9/26 and 9/28. So I figured I wouldn't get it until next Thursday. When first thing yesterday I got an emai that it had it shipped yesterday, 9/26, I was so excited. Now i'm kind of bummed that I won't get it until at least Monday probably Tuesday. Ha! All about managing expectations.

I spoke with Fed ex today. They said they're still dealing with a back log from last week's typhoon and they have a limit on the number of flights they can fly out of shanghai. She was unable to say when mine would be picked up. But said a Monday delivery is still possible. She also said 2 business from pick up for delivery.

I ordered my machine Tuesday, got the shipping confirmation yesterday and still "Package data transmitted to FedEx" today.

Should have just put the RAM in myself (employer insisted). It would have come from Pennsylvania in that case.

Yeah, I got fed up with FedEx (no pun intended) because no one would give me a straight answer, and they just said that it missed the flight out yesterday (same situation as you probably). So I called Apple and told them I wasn't getting any info from FedEx and that the FedEx website hasn't been updated for a couple days and he refunded me my $33 back (which I obviously didn't argue with!) and said that they've noticed that FedEx hasn't been updating their tracking info. So maybe it's closer than what we think, or maybe not, but I am now also expecting a Monday delivery....dammit.

I recieved my Fedex tracking number on the 25th and its was supposed to ship out yesterday, which it didn't. So I called Fedex and they said they have not recieved the package yet and Apple is saying its delayed because of the Typhon.

Yeah, yours came from China because it had configured to order stuff...

Mine is stock aside from one measely 1GB stick that my employer insisted Apple install.

Okay, so I emailed FedEx and here is the reply:

Having been where you both are I have no words of comfort; there will be none until the package is delivered. It will take the time it takes...

I had another couple interesting conversations with both Apple and FedEx. Again Apple said that my iMac shipped on the 26th and that FedEx's tracking info hasn't been getting updated recently. I called them because FedEx wanted me to verify the shipping date and airbill number. Well Apple had no idea what an airbill number was so they verified the tracking number again and that was that.

I then emailed FedEx with this information (as directed in their email to me) and received an email saying to call their 1-800 number. So I call and give them my tracking number and tell them that how Apple told me their tracking info has been slow to update recently and the FedEx rep informed me that there are 40 packages linked with my tracking number that have yet to be handed over to FedEx from Apple. She said that there is no way they would be missing 40 packages and said that Apple simply hasn't had FedEx take them off their hands. She said that they have been receiving many calls concerning the same issue and that it is all on Apple. She then sent an email to the IPD department for me so that they could put a trace on my package because she said that China is on holiday all next week and if they don't pick up my package tomorrow then it probably won't get out for another week! I'm surprised at this turn of events, especially after hearing from that one guy last night who said I will receive my package on Friday (the bastard).

Yeah I guess but it’s a pain since it was ordered back on the 13th – I was even told it would ship within 3-5 days on the phone to find that when I checked my order the iMac and the iPod Touch were set to ship together, then when I phoned up they wouldn’t ship them as two orders and wouldn’t upgrade my iPod Touch from a 8GB to a 16GB, this is my first purchase from Apple (I called there sales team) and if the status doesn’t change by Monday I can see myself ordering a Dell and Zune which I will get the same week

Damn I wish this was still true for me. I keep hoping that there is some glitch in FedEx's system right now and my iMac will actually get here this morning. However, my realist side comes out and the truth seeps into my soul making me realize that this is surely not going to happen. I'm sick of typing on this damn Dell laptop.
