What does "flight booked" mean in terms of time?
Looking at some examples from other users on that site, it would seem to suggest that the flight was on the 13th and it should arrive at the TNT hub on the 14th. But obviously that could be any time on the 14th.
My 24" iMac status is exactly the same as yours. The ETA is also the 17th August which is this Friday, but I think that's a bit optimistic tbh.

I was shocked that my machine was shipping from China. I ordered on August 8th and was told to expect it to ship between the 13th and 15th and to arrive between the 17th and the 21st.
Well, it shipped, from Shanghai on August 11 (a Saturday). At that time I was told to expect it tomorrow. It arrived this morning 9:15 Eastern Time via FedEx Express. I am more than pleased.

Change of plans!! On Fed Truck for Delivery!!! Mine also shipped from China on Sat. with est date of tomm.
I just wish I ordered my iMac 2.8 with the 320 GB instead of the 500 GB, seeing I could have gotten an extra external 500 GB drive

I don't get it....I ordered the exact same config. (unless a Wireless Mighty Mouse is making mine ship later) don't know if you got one of those or not. But I ordered mine on August 8th, and I don't even have a "Prepared for Shipment" yet. It still just says, "Not shipped."
What's up with that?
And no I didn't get the wireless keyboard, so that cannot be the reason for having it not ship yet.
It still says "Estimated Shipping: August 13th-15th" so there's still time to be "on-time" but for mzd's to be shipped before mine when they are the same config. and I ordered mine first doesn't seem like a logical way to go about orders.
Nothing against you at all mzd, I hope you enjoy your machine as much as I will...if I ever get it

I picked up a 500 GB USB 2.0 LaCie drive at Amazon.com for less than $120.
sorry to hear that torrid. the only upgrades on mine were the 2.8GHz and the 500MB hdd.
that is strange that yours has been "prepared for delivery" for so long. mine switched to prepared yesterday and i got the shipped email last night at like 11:45pm CDT.

Yeah, to the actual computer, those are the only upgrades I did. And I figured that Apple should have a mountain of MightyMouses somewhere since they've been out for so long. And the troubling thing is, that after almost a week now it still ISN'T "Prepared for Delivery". I'm just stuck at "Not shipped yet." still, and from what I understand "Prepared for Delivery" comes after "Not shipped yet." I'm just hoping for it on the weekend now.
Please FedEx deliver on Saturday in Champaign!!!
Don't worry torrid your not the only one... I also ordered on 8/8 but a 24" 2.4, the only alteration being an upgraded 500GB HD.
I was given the same shipping dates and mine also says "Not yet shipped". Doesn't look I will be getting it by the weekend after all...

So it turns out that my one is still in Shanghai waiting for a plane. I'm still very tempted to just order a lower specced one from Mac Warehouse or similar and return this one when it arrives. There must be a quicker way for Apple to turn these orders around.

Looks like there are a number of us in the UK waiting for custom imacs that are all in the same consignment and currently stuck in Shanghai. I was hoping apple would use UPS as they have always impressed me but TNT it is.
I phoned TNT today and after 3 attempts spoke with someone who said that the "airline" had messed up and our stuff had to be offloaded. He was still confident that I would get the delivery on Fri and commented that he had several call about the apple consignment.
Status on TNT tracker has been same since 9:00 on Sunday its now Wed morning in China so thats 3 days and counting.... not happy.

Annoying as it is to wait for a new product that you bothered to order immediately it came out ... I'm not sure compromising on your desired spec is a great idea just to save a few days.
Its not likely that you will look back in a few months and think if only i had it 3 days earlier but you might look back and think if only i had waited for the spec I really wanted.

With screen issues So it is already on its way back to Apple, who is now telling me they may not ship my replacement till 21- 23 (Tues - Thur of next week). I am hoping it goes out quicker, but more so that there are no problems.
