iMac shipping status?

how annoying it cant take 6 days to get form china to here i was hoping for wed =P : 17 Aug 2007 (Subject to change) i love the bracketed words!! be earlier lol

With TNT, it's not the China to UK route you have to worry about but from the local hub to your house. TNT have a habit of using the latest delivery date as the actual delivery date, meaning the machine sits in the hub for a week (or two.)

My guess is you'll get it on Tuesday. If FedEx flies it to Houston tomorrow, it'll be on your doorstep Tuesday.

(unless FedEx flies them into Memphis from overseas and then the rest of the shipping is by truck. If that's the case, then you're right. Wednesday or even Thursday!!)

Yes mines the same aswell, the estimated delivery of Friday still hasn't changed though on Apples site so heres hoping!
 
I remember going through this last time when I ordered an iMac and like someone says, the delay isn't usually getting to Europe, its in the TNT hub where it seems to just sit for days before arriving in the UK.
 
What exactly does this mean on the Apple order status page??

In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly


Does this mean that it is on its way to a warehouse somewhere before being dispatched to me??

Thanks for the link - the site worked for me and explained a lot. My iMac is coming from Shanghai - hense the huge delay!! Were there no iMac delivered to the UK ahead of the launch?

Aug 13, 2007 5:12 AM At dest sort facility DENVER, CO

though it still lists an expected delivery date of Aug 15, by 10:30 am.
I hope it goes out for delivery today.
 
Mine shipped from Shanghai on the 10th, hit Anchorage on the 11th, hit Memphis on 12th, and is now in Orlando, FL for delivery on the 13th. The estimated date is the 15th, but it looks like I will get it on the 13th! I also paid for the standard free shipping.

Mine is also sitting here at my local sort facility but is set to deliver Wed. before 10:30am. So what does two day shipping have to do with anything, its going to sit here in my city for two days before I get it?

Mine is the same but I paid 30 bucks extra for 2 day shipping.

look at my screenshot above please, why isnt it working for me? i just have a header saying and no information though the tnt website does show the information

Skratch that, mine just came. I got my 24" 2.8Ghz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D
 
Well this is interesting. My status still says it'll be delivered by Wednesday, but the FedEx tracking says it's on vehicle for delivery! So I'd suppose that means I'll have it very soon. :D Excellent!

I got mine! It was delivered this morning at 8:15am even though the estimated delivery was for Tuesday...so you will probably get yours soon!!
Can't wait to set it up.

Not bad for free ground shipping. Ordered Tues. Cancelled & Re-ordered for change on Wed morning. Moved est. ship from Fri->Tues to Mon->Wed, but still shipped Fri. Moved est. delivery from Tues->Mon to Wed->Tues and is getting delivered today.

That's a 2.8ghz 24" with 1GB RAM and 750GB HDD (I selected the $1,799 and changed the CPU & HDD since I was getting 4GB RAM 3rd party), also wireless mouse.
 
Woo! And mine just arrived. Excellent. Now I know what I'll be doing after work. Good thing I cleaned up my desk over the weekend in preparation for its arrival.

Only thing I can think of that's taking it a little longer is I upgraded the 2.4 stock to 2.8 and 500GB HDD.

Do you think it would have shipped quicker if I ordered the 2.8 Stock?

My iPod is out for delivery today, but it's being delivered to my school, and I won't be there until Wednesday :(

That's what I ordered except for a 750 drive. It shipped Friday and was just delivered!! I suspect yours will go out today. My order went in around 7 am on Wed Mountain time. It will just sit here and taunt me all day long. I can't even set it up when I get home until after I finish my sanding and staining project in the garage and then clean my desk.
