I have a weird issue sometimes when wirelessly uploading a lot of videos to Infuse the upload counter will reset and go from 1 to 1.2 GB to back to 0 GB and continue to progress percent upward again.

This is with 13 video files. I know that is a lot.

What could be the issue? It doesn't happen all the time. Like for example right now it is working fine again.
[doublepost=1458591634][/doublepost]Ok nevermind spoke to soon it just did it again :(
[doublepost=1458591908][/doublepost]The percent even goes back down when it resets.
[doublepost=1458593737][/doublepost]Well it finally worked after 2 tries. The first try of transferring over 13 files (which normally works fine from what I could tell before) only 3 or 4 files transferred over. The the second time trying the rest of the 9 to 10 files transferred over.

Weird.
Hmm, that seems a bit strange. Can you open a support ticket by following steps below so we can troubleshoot?

Second question how would I use Infuse Pro 4 on my iPhone and iPad to stream media from my iPhone to my iPad ?
Streaming media between devices is not supported at this time. Sorry.

Does Infuse has DLNA/UPnP server support? Am looking for a good player that will play files from my MythTV server. Used to use nPlayer, but their UPnP server support is broken in their latest big release. VLC works but doesn't support Dolby AC3 audio.

Thanks!

One other question, how does Apple licensing Dolby Digital Plus for iOS 9.3 affect you guys? Can you use that license, or do you still need to license separately for your app?

Yes, Infuse supports streaming via DLNA/UPnP.

Any app that implements AC3/E-AC3, unless they're just using the native iOS/tvOS player (like Netflix, Youtube, etc...) requires a Dolby license/certification.

Excellent. Do you know how to make the player stream from a server that isn't listed? I went to add files and looked under the "Available Shares" section, and my MythTV UPnP server wasn't listed. It shows up in other players like VLC, though.

Thanks for your help.

UPnP and DLNA shares should be detected automatically, and there's really no way to add them manually.

The 4.1 update should be out within the next few days, and includes a number of new features and general improvements which may help.

I have to say I'm very impressed with improved video processing in Infuse Pro 4.0. While I've been able to play most of my HEVC content on my iPhone 6s with the A9 processor, my iPad Air with the A7 processor couldn't successfully play any of my HEVC content with Infuse 3.x. This has significantly improved with Infuse Pro 4.0. The core processing is much more efficient than the previous version.

1280x534 HEVC Main@L3.1, overall bit rate 966Kbps
Infuse 3.x on iPad Air - Fail with video freezes
Infuse 4.x on iPad Air - Passed, no freezes, no stutters

1920x800 HEVC Main@L4, overall bit rate 1611Kbps
Infuse 3.x on iPad Air - Fail with video freezes within 2 minutes into video
Infuse 4.x on iPad Air - Failed, 1 hour 40 minutes into video with freezes

One interesting note is that my 10w charger couldn't keep up with the battery drain and after watching the 720p version I switched over to a 12w charger. With the 12w charger it was able to keep up with the battery drain.

Great upgrade and many thanks!

Hmmm, very strange that VLC detects the server, but Infuse does not. That's the one feature that's keeping me from paying and upgrading. I definitely hope 4.1 helps. Everything else about the app looks great.

Can OP please confirm whether background transfers over FTP to the app are possible while using other apps?

Unfortunately not, as iOS allows for only a few minutes of background activity.
OK, thank you. Allow me to ask a couple of follow-up question:

a) Does the app support PiP of both MP4 and MKV content?
b) If I was to play something PiP from another app while FTP'ing files into Infuse, will there be any interruptions?

A. PIP currently only supports videos played using the native video player frameworks. Unfortunately, at least for now, this means it's not a practical feature for Infuse.

B. Transfers can continue as long as Infuse remains open.

Hmm, but if that is the limitation then so be it. It seems harsh to say "because we cannot have it in all formats then we will not have it at all". If people want PiP, they will need to play MP4 files, but at least they will be able to. At the moment, they have no possibility at all.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll see what we can do. :)

I was hoping that with the release of 4.1 that my native Blu Ray backups would now work (i.e. BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders). Infuse still cannot find the video in there. Do I need to change anything?

Infuse doesn't currently support for encrypted files, or anything with menus. Sorry.

Lifehacker has a good article from a few years back on the best way to back up your Blu-rays. http://lifehacker.com/5559007/the-hassle-free-guide-to-ripping-your-blu-ray-collection Note: Only the first step is required for Infuse. The second step may be helpful if you are looking to save disk space.

Yep, I've gone back to that in the meantime, I used it for a longtime prior to Infuse.

MUCH prefer Infuse, AVPlayerHD feels like it's from the last century in a lot of ways, but the lack of PiP and Split Screen with Infuse is a bind. If/when Infuse implements it I'll be back in a heartbeat, I like how responsive they seem and love the app.

AVPlayerHD allows PiP and Split Screen with MP4's and MKV's, while with AVI files you can Split Screen but can't PiP.

Don't mean to rain on Infuse's parade by posting this here, just saying.

I just noticed that Infuse supports DTS audio. As soon as Split View and PiP are supported for MKVs and MP4s, I can see myself making a purchase.

Tried now - this is a great app. Sadly it can't support MP3 files. I hope this is implemented someday.

I would like to add something: the article does not mention this anywhere: MKVToolnix should be used (after MakeMKV), for organizing the name of the streams, such as naming the audio commentary track. It does not reencode anything.

I currently use AnyDVD-HD to decrypt the DVDs/Blu-rays, MakeMKV and MKVToolnix. But, if someone wants it, MakeMKV can be used directly to convert the DVD/Blu-ray contents to Matroska, since it decrypts just like AnyDVD these discs.

However, AnyDVD (now from RedFox) is more reliable to do this decryption job (I discovered that some ripped DVDFab discs had errors - perhaps something fixed in newer versions), and it's highly possible that some contents from the DVDs or Blu-rays can't be converted to Matroska (in order to check them, the DVD/BD folders are necessary), so you might need to save some files from these folders (or the entire disc), and this MakeMKV can't do for us. AnyDVD can, once the FULL DISC is decrypted to your Hard Drive.

Using these programs I can save the contents of DVDs/Blu-rays in Matroska, with the difference that I always save them lossless (without re-encoding), never lossy.
