Sounds awesome, is this a free upgrade for infuse 4 owners?

Also, does this release have the show theme music?

Infuse 5 is a paid upgrade, and if you choose the $6.99 in-app option this will cover ALL future updates (v6, v7, etc...).

Theme music is not yet available. Sorry. :(

Sounds reasonable, - thanks.

Hopefully theme music is in the pipeline?

Why is it $6.99 now instead of $4.99 ?

Great update.

Is there any possibility keyboard shortcuts will be added in the future? The (assumably) simple addition of space for play/pause and basic arrow key use would make it so much better to use with a Smart Keyboard.

This is more to do with Apple, but it really annoys me there's no play/pause/volume function keys on the Smart Keyboard. The hooks are clearly there, function key row works fine with BT keyboards for example. However, I get the feeling that because it exists on keyboards with function rows, devs don't add such shortcuts as it duplicates function. Overcast podcast player app is another app that'd benefit massively from keyboard shortcuts such as play/pause.

Don't like the other keyboard options unfortunately.

It's $6.99 a year not a one off payment, like previous versions. I'll be giving this a miss, I don't do subscriptions it's a con, it doesn't cost that much to develop an app like this, they already paid the licence fees to Dolby and DTS, there is no reason to pay again for an update. The fact that they have no upgrade price for existing users has lost them at least one customer as well, loyalty works both ways.

v5 is available 2 ways, as an annual subscription for $6.99 per year will cover all future updates. There is also a standalone Pro app which is a one time fee, and this would allow you to receive v5 updates only.

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll see what we can do.

We also offer a standalone paid app option as well. https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1136220915?mt=8&uo=4&at=11l4GF

Not a fan of subscriptions and Pro version should have all features with free upgrades regardless version 5,6,7... I smell greediness going to pass.

All the developers use this handy Apple excuse of not being able to offer a new versions at a reduced price for existing customers, but it's bull. The developer chose to release this as version 5 instead of a feature upgrade to infuse 4. It's not Apples fault you chose this subscription model either, I like the way you try to spin it to make it look like you are doing us a favour moving to this business model, I take it you are a politician by day. I'm out cya.

Yes I agree don't blame Apple when your setting the prices for subscription, I have purchased Pro version apps from years and still get free updates, was really looking forward to get this because of Cloud implemented.

Very disappointed with firecore Infusion 5 subscription roll had been holding back for the last few months for Cloud services support. What a mess up for the holidays. Anyways just bought EasyCloud Ultimate to view Onecloud videos on my Apple Tv. Working great!

Now they break Infuse 4 with yet another update, now it won't download meta data for new movies I've added. Half of the time it won't even load my NAS folder structure at all. Dirty tricks time is it, I'll be writing a letter to Apple is this isn't rectified in a timely manner.

What ever happen to subfolder support ?
Still planned, but it did not make it into 5.0.

Hmm, the only change in 4.3.6 was a fix for a crash when entering long passwords.

Please drop us a note if you're seeing any other issues. https://firecore.com/contact
Does v5 include PiP and split-screen support or is it yet to land?
Yes, these are both included in v5. A full list of changes can be found here. https://firecore.com/releases

Why don't you offer an in-app-purchase for upgrade from 4 to 5 version? With in-app-purchase you should offer a discounted price for 4-version users..

Hi there. I have some issue with pro 5 version.
I have 9'7 iPad Pro with iOS 10.1.1 and I use it with airplay/Bluetooth speakers.
When I was at non Pro 5 version I was able to do PiP and background playing while airplay was turned on (although non Pro version doesn't support airplay I was still able to turn it on through iOS Control center).
Now, after I upgraded to subscription based Pro version, I need to turn off airplay/Bluetooth to be able to do PiP and background playback.
Goddamn technologies!

And I'm also interested in supporting VOB (DVD) format. Are there any intentions to add this functionality?

Upgrade to Infuse 5 and save 30%

This week we were thrilled to release Infuse 5 - a major new version with many exciting new features. This release represents many months of work and is effectively our first paid update since the original release in 2013. The new subscription option allows us to continue building great new features to ensure Infuse remains the best in class video player for iOS and Apple TV.

Change is never easy, so in between bites of Thanksgiving turkey we worked to come up with a few ways to bring joy to all of our users again.

Here's what we're doing to make things right.

1. Starting today, Sunday November 27‌th, we're offering a 30% discount on the annual subscription of Infuse Pro. This discount will be available through December 11‌th. Upgrading to Infuse 5 before then guarantees you're able to receive the lowest price now AND lock in a permanent 30% discount on all renewals going forward.

2. Anyone who has already subscribed to the new Infuse Pro will automatically be switched to the discounted price.

3. Anyone who purchased Infuse v4 on or after August 1‌st, 2016 will be entitled to a free upgrade to v5 (more details).

We're fully committed to developing great new features, and delighting all of our users with every new update. This is possible because of you, and we are so grateful for your support.

Check out the complete list of everything that's new in Infuse 5.
