Unfortunately ATMOS isn't supported, though Infuse will pass the lossless TrueHD audio to your receiver.Hello. if I play an Atmos video through this using best quality sound settings so it sends it to my amp as multi channel, will my amp play the Atmos part of it? My amp plays Atmos. Thanks.
You can create a Favorite from any category/filter found in the Library and have it displayed on the home screen. Custom artwork can also be set for these Favorites by following the steps found here. Please say it's possible to load straight into library view on the Apple TV?
Otherwise it takes even longer to get to my shows, I'm hoping I've missed something.
Awesome! So glad to hear you're enjoying it.Just updated to 4.2 and gave it a quick spin. The new library view looks *really* good. Finding unwatched stuff is super easy now. I selected a TV season that I'm currently watching and it even went to the first unwatched episode automatically. Browsing by genre and release date is very useful too. Great update!
Can't you just stay in the library view before you leave the app? It should still be there when you start it again (unless you force quite the app in the meantime). But yes, an option to immediately start in the library view might be a good idea. Please say it's possible to load straight into library view on the Apple TV?

Good idea!Perfect thank you! Have turned off Library View on the home screen and set it up so I have "All Movies" and "All TV Shows" as the favourites on their, which loads each of them as category views. It's great to have seasons grouped together so thank you!
Maybe we should have a "Share your Custom Artwork" Competition.
Pro tip: Clicking the 'Last Update: xxx' text will trigger a Library refresh. That's not a bad idea the only problem is it doesn't refresh when I add new items unless I go back out and back in.

Welcome to Infuse! Happy to hear you're enjoying it so far. Finally bit the bullet!! I will say this! Its awesome! The only thing I would like is to be a little more organize like Plex is! but great work! DTS plays amazing!
A list view option is in the works for 4.3.All I wanted from library view was the 'old view' that Infuse version 3 offered, so just a long list of the original file names of the files present on the applicable share. I don't want my files to be scanned for meta data, just list the files present on my share 'as is'. Does this new version 4.2 offer such library view?
Yep!When I load infuse 4.2, I have Movies / Tv Shows as favorites (stars next to them) then Library.
Is there a way to get rid of the Movies / TV shows, and just have library on the main screen?
Possibly stupid question: How do I "unhide" favorites once I have hidden them?If the Movies and TV Shows items are folder based favorites, you can hide them from the home screen but keep them indexed by Infuse by long-pressing on them and choosing the 'Hide Favorite' option.
For TV shows you'll want to ensure you're using one of our supported file naming styles.Does't read my library correctly which is setup perfect for kodi (and Plex reads with a few minor tweaks after)... I'd say about 80% accuracy overall on my library... Some TV Shows come up as Movies so it thinks there are more movies than I actually have. Is it possible to specify location of TV Shows and Movies for the Library, or set content type of a favourite?
Favorites can be unhidden through the Infuse > Settings > Shares menu.Possibly stupid question: How do I "unhide" favorites once I have hidden them?
Other is simply a category that contains anything that Infuse doesn't recognize as a Movie or TV show (home videos, etc...)When I go under Library, I have Movies, Tv Shows, and Other (not sure what other is, not a folder I made).
Under Tv Shows, All TV shows, I only see 1 season/1 episode of a show. Not everything is listed. However, if I go under my TV Shows Favorite, I can see all my seasons/episodes. Any idea why this is? I have refreshed, still nothing
Infuse will classify anything it can't match as a Movie or TV Show as Other. Unfortunately TMDb doesn't have support for different versions, so the only metadata available will be for the main Terminator 2 movie. https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/280-terminator-2-judgment-dayOne more question: Infuse has classified my movies and TV shows almost perfectly, with one exception: One of my HD-DVD rips of "Terminator 2" has been classified as "Other" instead of "Movie". I have two versions of this movie (the theatrical and the DC, since the HD-DVD had both) that are each in a directory of their own with nfo files. The DC is named "Terminator 2 (Special Edition)" in both the nfo and the filename. But Infuse has the DC under just "Terminator 2". How can I force Infuse to use (only) the information from the nfo, and what causes it to classify one version as "Other"?
Thanks, found it.Favorites can be unhidden through the Infuse > Settings > Shares menu.
What I'd like it to do is to prioritize metadata from the matching nfo file if present. It could easily classify the media kind based on the tags in the nfo (movies will have a <movie> tag, TV episodes will have <episodedetails>). Does Infuse look at nfo files at all?Infuse will classify anything it can't match as a Movie or TV Show as Other. Yes, that should be doable. A sample XML file (NFO will be similar) can be found here. What I'd like it to do is to prioritize metadata from the matching nfo file if present. I have just created an XML file for the Terminator 2 DC after this template and placed it into the movie folder with name "<basename>.xml", but Infuse doesn't seem to pick it up, i.e. the movie is still classified as "Other" (I triggered a refresh by clicking on "last updated"). Is the naming of the XML file correct?Yes, that should be doable. A sample XML file (NFO will be similar) can be found here.
NFO files are also supported, as are 'poster.jpg' and 'fanart.jpg' if you have your movies organized in their own folders.I have just created an XML file for the Terminator 2 DC after this template and placed it into the movie folder with name "<basename>.xml", but Infuse doesn't seem to pick it up, i.e. the movie is still classified as "Other" (I triggered a refresh by clicking on "last updated"). It would be nice if Infuse could read standard nfo files as used by Kodi and many other applications (I imagine most people are using this format). Should be pretty straightforward to convert the relevant subset of tags to the Infuse XML format.
Also, I was reading "Metadata 101" on your support page. Are the naming conventions shown in the examples the only ones Infuse understands? For example, in my case the fanart and poster are simply named "fanart.jpg" and "poster.jpg" (i.e. without the basename) as recommended by Kodi if you use separate folders per movie.
So you are saying that even if our NFO etc. is correct and present, it still needs to contact an online a database? With Kodi or MrMC, if I tell the location to use local info only, that is all it uses.NFO files are also supported, as are 'poster.jpg' and 'fanart.jpg' if you have your movies organized in their own folders.
One thing you can try is to use the 'Edit' option in Infuse. This will allow you to select the correct title so the movie gets categorized correctly. As long as you keep the XML/NFO file alongside the video, Infuse will read the info from that to use in favor of the info pulled from TMDb. Even if you have a complete NFO file and all your own artwork, Infuse still needs to match the title against the TMDb in order to cache the unique IMDb ID.
Hope this helps.![]()
Well, the problem with that is that the theatrical cut already has the "canonical" name of the movie, so there'd be no way to distinguish it from the DC on the browser screen. I guess I could try to use different artwork perhaps. One thing you can try is to use the 'Edit' option in Infuse. Hm, OK. What exactly does it use the IMDB ID for?As long as you keep the XML/NFO file alongside the video, Infuse will read the info from that to use in favor of the info pulled from TMDb.
