Infuse will skip 10s forward/back when tapping the edges of the Siri remote. You can change this to jump between chapters by enabling the 'Chapter Controls' option in Settings.

I'm not using the Siri remote (I'm too old go go away from remotes with buttons), I use my TV remote which have a |<< and >>| which does not work with InFuse, but with iMovie, Plex, etc., which is why I believe that there could be an issue with InFuse.

I realize infuse have problem reading filename that go like this "infuse** movie.mp4". Whenever I have a filename that contain ** infuse will just give me some rubbish name on the screen.

Hmm, is there a specific reason you're adding 'Infuse' to the filename? It sounds like Infuse is using that to match titles from TMDb or TheTVDb, and having it as part of the filename is affecting the matches that are found.

lol, sorry for not making myself clear. I'm just using infuse as an example.

Here is a better example.

Independence Day** Resurgence (2016).mp4, when I see in infuse it will not display this filename for instead some rubbish character instead.

Any way to increase the scroll speed of the audio tracks or make them more intuitive? Often time the track names are super long and it takes forever to scroll and my hairs get grey :)

But why are you using asterisks in a filename? That's generally a bad idea, because it's a reserved character in most common operating systems. Unexpected behavior is thus to be expected. ;)
Good point!

keigo, can you try removing the asterisks to see if that helps? It's possible the asterisks are appearing as gibberish to Infuse, which is why it's having trouble recognizing the filenames. Note, how special characters are handled depends a lot on the source device and streaming method.

Are you referring to scrolling file names while browsing? If so, the upcoming 4.3 version will include a new List View option which will help quite a bit with this.

I'm referring to when you are watching something, bring down the contextual menu by pressing the top button on the siri remote, going to the audio "tab" and then trying to select the audio track. It's very slow to scroll there and not very intuitive. The file name is listed, followed by DOLBY, or FILENAME_SPANISH, or FILENAME_DTS. If it could list the later part of that string first (the relevant info), and perhaps exclude the filename all-together, that would be excellent. I only run into this issue when I'm watching content that has several audio tracks.

Hmm, the list of audio tracks *should* simply list the language + the track type (E.G. English 7.1 DTS-HD MA).

Are you seeing this issue with a lot of videos or just a few? Can you drop us a note with a few more details? https://firecore.com/contact

Had another idea for a new feature. The channels app has a feature where you can shake the siri remote to mute the audio. Would be cool if this could be done in Infuse too.

I can not for the life of me get Infuse to find my Mac, and I have done soooooo much searching and tweaking of settings lol. I am blaming beta OS for the issue...

One thing to check is that SMB and Windows File Sharing are both enabled on your Mac. A bit more info on doing this can be found here. https://support.apple.com/kb/PH18707?locale=en_US

Of course, we'll take a look at the latest iOS 10 beta 2 to see if any new wonkiness has come up. ;)

Yah defo checked those - Im also on the TVOS beta so maybe thats why? Keep getting issues with other apps anreven airplay so seems possible!

Gotcha. We'll take a look! :)

Just wondering with the update of the TVOS this fall does this new OS give any new features to the app that were not previously possible?
Lots of good things in the works for this fall...and a few things to be released before then as well. ;)

Hoping someone can help me. Whenever I add new content to a folder, Infuse does not see the new content. I have to delete the share and re-add it. Sometimes (like this morning) I'll open up a folder and it will say there is no content. In this situation deleting the share and re-adding also temporarily fixes the problem. Seems like something is causing the indexing to not work properly? We are using eero routers and a Seagate GoFlex Home external HD. Here's the HD manual- http://www.seagate.com/docs/pdf/en-US/whitepaper/ug-goflex-home-us.pdf

Any suggestions for either an equipment or settings change?

Are you connecting via UPnP by chance? UPnP devices will need to re-index new content when its added before it's available to apps like Infuse to see.

If you are able to connect via SMB or FTP the new content should be available immediately.

I believe I am connecting via UPnP. Is the only way to re-index to delete and re-add the share?

There will likely just be a short delay before new content is available in Infuse. Removing and re-adding the share shouldn't be required. This delay is due to the fact that UPnP provides an indexed list of your files, instead of simply allowing Infuse to browse the folders directly.

OK, thanks. I'll check it out tonight. Any thoughts on the folders showing as empty from time to time?

It could also be related to UPnP indexing if/when new content is added.

It looks like the GoFlex also supports SMB and FTP, so it may not be a bad idea to try one of those to see how it goes.

Does 'Library View' only work with certain sharing protocols? Doesn't seem to be working here, as the opening screen upon loading, just shows my favourite folders.

Edit - to answer my own question, yup. Had to set up all my shares again using SMB.
