I have a image that is on a movie that isn't suppose to be there. How can I manually change it?
Infuse supports most of the common naming formats, though there is one that is becoming more popular that we'll be adding support for soon (EG Burn.Notice.101.mkv)So you are saying that even if our NFO etc. is correct and present, it still needs to contact an online a database? With Kodi or MrMC, if I tell the location to use local info only, that is all it uses.
Also in regards to the TV shows issue I have, some of my shows are not in an Infuse compatible format since Kodi supports more variations it seems. Also I still think should be able to specify a folder content (eg. Movies or TV Shows). Both Kodi/MrMC, and Plex use separate locations for these. It would be nice to have my existing Libary, that read that I spent years on, read in Infuse (I would expect a little tweaking maybe) but the way it stands now with scraping TV and Movies together from same location makes it difficult.
Right - you'd need to select the standard version of T2 - though once selected, Infuse should display the title from your NFO file in the menus. You can set special artwork too if you like.Well, the problem with that is that the theatrical cut already has the "canonical" name of the movie, so there'd be no way to distinguish it from the DC on the browser screen. I guess I could try to use different artwork perhaps.
A few features rely on having an accurate IMDb ID - most notable would be Library organization and trakt scrobbling/progress sync.Hm, OK. What exactly does it use the IMDB ID for?

This can be done by following these steps.Just updated the app and I am loving the library view. One question, is it possible to remove videos from the library view? I have a bunch of downloaded you tube videos on my hard drive that are appearing (usually as weird movies) that I would rather not see when looking at the library view.
A refresh can be triggered by tapping the 'Last Update' text from the Library item on the home screen, or by using the option found in the Infuse > Settings > Library menu.Is there a way to force a refresh while in library view? The only way I have found to get watched indicators or shows to appear is:
1) Sit and wait for minutes every time.
2) Go into a show and exit back out.
3) Close infuse using the App Switcher and loading again.
A refresh button or command from the remote would be amazing.

Gotcha. The problem I have is I don't see any of that, the way I have my favourites setup is I go straight to the "All TV Shows" and "All Movies" screens, but without an option to refresh having the ability to make them favourites in the first place is a little flawed.
I am trying to go for the streamlined approach so I load Infuse, choose whether I want a Movie or TV Show then choose item to play. Quick easy and no fuss, less time faffing in menus.
4.2 includes a number of Smart Filters that will help whittle down the available options by category.Quick question:
Is there a way to search for a specific movie/TV show, either in folder-based created Favorites or in Library view categories? I can't find anything.... I think this is an important missing part of the App, since most of the time, we know what we want to watch and we don't need to go through any fuss finding it manually.... (it is quite cumbersome to go through more than 1000 movies and hundreds of different TV shows....)
m3u8 playlists are not yet supported, but will hopefully be available in a future update.Does this App support playing of IPTV Channels? I have my own m3u8 list which I would like to import.
If not which App would you recommend?
Thanks
Hmm, do you have Metadata Fetching enabled on the Apple TV? What about Embedded Metadata?Any idea why one of my TV shows refuses to go into a folder on the app, even though it is on my HDD? I've got it set up the same as all my others i.e. The Catch > The Catch S01E01.ext .. (even with a folder.jpg file) - but for some reason the app shows all of the individual episodes in the main folder and isn't picking up the meta data, even though I've physically edited and chosen the correct data.
By the way, I don't have this issue on iOS, there it's in the folder
any news on when HEVC will be supported by Infuse?
HEVC has a super-high CPU requirement due to its high compression. We're hopeful Apple will soon add HW decoding, which will make this format more usable on both iOS and tvOS.I think HVEC is based on the processor.
I have ripped some of my Blu-Rays in H.265 HVEC and it streams about 90% perfect on the AppleTV with inFuse.
On my 12.9 iPad Pro, they are 100% on the ones I tested.
Hmm, do you have Metadata Fetching enabled on the Apple TV? What about Embedded Metadata?
I've just tested those names here, and Infuses seems to group them together with the correct info/artwork just fine.
Ok - if it happens again, try disabling Embedded Metadata and reloading metadata for the affected files to see if that helps.Yeah I have all that enabled, and it works fine for everything else. I don't think there's any embedded metadata, but not to worry, I've finished watching it now and deleted it![]()
There are a few options for this which can be adjusted through the Settings menu. How can i force to use embedded meta data?
I don't want to turn fetching off. But everytime I select use embedded meta data ( which is only available AFTER a search ). It shows embedded for a second and then switches back.
I just want a dang option to clear the data and not show anything.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll pass along the feedback and see what we can do.I'm loving the direction Infuse Pro on Apple TV is heading down (I like the developers hard work and community engagement so much I paid for the Pro version) but I would like to make some suggestions that need to be implemented before I will use it instead of Plex. These are essential if the App is ever going to be anything more than a simple video player.
- Filters need significant improvement. When you select "Unwatched" in e.g. TV shows it lists EVERY season of a TV show separately...WHY? This creates huge clutter when you have many shows each with multiple seasons...It should only show the Show once then you can drill down into the seasons.
-"Recently Added" doesn't seem to work well. It shows some new titles but a lot of old ones too yet it misses most of the truly newly added titles. I would have thought it would be looking at the time stamps of the most recently added items.
-Marking "Watched" needs more global settings!! Having to go through EACH season of a show to mark as watch is extremely tedious. If you click on the parent folder of a show it doesn't let you change it to 'Watched'! You have to go to each season...crazy when some shows have 11+ seasons!!! This puts off anyone who's moving to Infuse as they have to spend hours marking their library.
-Number of Unwatched episodes for TV shows. Instead of just a yellow triangle to signify 'unwatched', you should show a number to identify the number of unwatched episodes. Plex does this and it works great as from the home screen you can at a glance see how many episodes of each you have to watch and makes for great planning (e.g. binge watching)
-Need more "On deck" like features ala Plex. When you go into the App you should be able to see: Item you were last watching and may want to continue, new episodes added etc etc...that should all be available from a home screen not having to jump through twenty clicks to get to it.
-No search function. I recall the developer mentioning this was a limitation of tvOS but what about even a simple text based search?
-Improve Metadata matching. This has greatly improved in recent versions but there are still issues (e.g. names of episodes still fail to be download for some shows despite correct naming and Plex working fine with them. It just shows e.g. NAME OF SHOW - S03E04 - NAME OF SHOW instead of the name of the episode after the S03E04
-Sloooowwwnessss! Compared to the Plex library which FLIES, Infuse feels VERY sluggish on my Synology 1512+ when browsing. I know Plex caches the metadata on it's server BUT perhaps Infuse should also cache the metadata. Why do you need to freshly update them every time you are browsing through the app? Just look for changes only. I'm sick of looking at the spinning grey wheel overtime and switch to Plex instead.
These are just some of my pet hates and I suspect a lot of others will at least share some of these frustrations. I LOVE the DTS playback and powerful video player BUT unless the library features improve then the overall experience is still much much better with Plex and so many people (myself included) would stick with Plex for now.
Anyway keep up the good work! I am confident you will continue to work hard on these suggestions as in the last few months there has been a lot of good work done!
Yes, we've gotten a few requests for this and it's something we hope to have available in a future update. Are you planning on putting in a "audio delay" feature? Sometimes the sound is out of sync for a half second and I can't do anything about it...
And for the rest, keep up the good work FireCore team!
In the works for a future update. Can you please implement the thumbnail view on the slider when ff or rew? Not sure why infuse leaves this out.
Infuse will skip 10s forward/back when tapping the edges of the Siri remote. You can change this to jump between chapters by enabling the 'Chapter Controls' option in Settings. Are you going to make the forward/backward steps work in a future release ?
