What you said "supported" is, only when user Edit a title, its metadata language will be saved and respected when refreshing.

If you have a folder with hundreds of movies, when Infuse scans this folder and auto-downloads metadata, metadata language will not be saved. If you change global metadata language and enter this folder again, everything gets messed up.

Hmm, very strange.

The App Store is sort of a big black box, but if you have a chance to submit a report from your device, we can try and see if there are any clues.

Happy Monday!

Infuse 6.6.2 is out, and includes support for new frame rate options which have been added in the upcoming tvOS 14.5 release.

@firecore, How do i fix the folder structure? I have TV series set in a folder, with each show having it's own folder. With each season in a folder. Some shows show up correctly, some don't with all the episodes of a series showing up in the TV folder. All the shows are displayed correctly in Plex. I'm not sure what to try to fix this as the shows that don't display correctly are formatted the same as the shows that do. Any suggestions?

Infuse supports a number of different naming and organization options, and a bit more info on these can be found here.

Also, if you don't want to worry about organization, you can use the Library feature in Infuse to browse as this will provide a great experience for TV shows no matter how you have things organized (naming is still important though).

Has anyone had issues with Infuse and audio sync? I'm having issues (with Plex as well) where all the audio is out of sync, but it is fine if I turn off match frame rate. I've checked Plex on my fire stick and everything works fine so it's definitely something on the Apple TV end.

Synching to what audio device?
I’m only playing everything through my TV’s internal speakers. The lip sync when using Infuse & Plex is out of sync and can only be rectified to some extent when disabling match frame rate which isn’t ideal.

How are iTunes movies? I think it’s more of an Apple TV issue than an infuse issue? I used to have exactly that issue with my old TV. I had to have a different delay set on my amp for 60hz and 23.976hz content

Today we are excited to announce the release of Infuse 7 for iOS, Apple TV...and macOS!

All-new macOS app

After months of development and public beta testing Infuse for macOS makes it debut on the Mac App Store! This all-new Mac app includes the same great features you love, and runs natively on both Intel and M1 Macs for amazing performance. The design has a familiar layout to iOS and Apple TV, and has been fine-tuned for use on macOS Big Sur.

Syncing shares, libraries, watched history, and ratings is all done seamlessly between iOS, Apple TV, and Mac using iCloud. What's better? Infuse for macOS is available as a free download with no additional costs for existing Pro users. Hooray!

Fresh new design

iOS and Apple TV are also getting some love in 7.0. Both platforms include beautiful new designs which make extensive use of fan art to set the mood for the perfect movie night. There is also dramatic improvements for TV show browsing on iOS, with all new season episode thumbnails!

Unified home screen

The new Home Screen is your hub where you can pin lists of content you access the most. Lists can include just about anything. Want to see recently added movies or unwatched TV shows? Done. Rated G movies or content that was released in the 1960s? No problem. Lists can be easily added, removed, and re-ordered directly from the Home Screen by tapping the edit button in the upper right corner. Changes will sync via iCloud to all devices, for a consistent feel on all devices.

Upgrade for free!

Infuse 7 is a free automatic update for all Infuse Pro subscribers (monthly, yearly, lifetime) and is waiting for you in the App Store. Seriously...go grab it! 🙂

The all-new macOS app is available as a free download on the Mac App Store, and active Pro subscriptions can be restored and shared with family members without any additional costs. 🙌

Those running older standalone versions (Infuse 4, Infuse Pro 5, or Infuse Pro 6) can get a free year of Infuse Pro when starting a new yearly subscription in Infuse 7.

Thanks!

We're super-excited about the release of Infuse 7, and we really hope you enjoy using it as much as we do.

We always love hearing your comments, feedback, and suggestions — so please feel free to post a message in our community forum, @ us on Twitter or drop us a note anytime.

Thanks so much for using Infuse! 🙂

Sounds great, but how do I upgrade? I have Infuse 6 Pro, but after downloading Infuse 7 the upgrade to Pro option wants me to pay. If I click Restore it does nothing.

I still don’t get it. How do I upgrade this? I have Infuse 6 Pro but it doesn’t show any updates…
Do I have to pay yearly now to get it? I thought it’s a free uograde to anyone with v6 Pro

Where is this new home screen on the Apple tv?
The home screen changes on Apple TV are a bit more subtle, but this is a unified screen so lists and things you add will sync to other devices. You can pin, unpin, and move lists by using the List icon in the upper right corner of the home screen.

Does v7 have this improved?

How do I seamlessly sync my shares from AppleTV to the MacOS app? I have 7.0 on AppleTV (2*4K units) and iOS which sync through iCloud. I've downloaded Infuse 7 MacOS and, even though it shows I have an active Yearly PRO subscription, the Library is empty! I would have hoped that the app would be able to identify the existing setup of shares and just present me an interface that knew all about my Infuse usage.

While the simpler configuration of the homescreen in Infuse 7 is appreciated, I have to say I'm not a fan of the UI changes particularly for TV shows. Why do I have to scroll down to see the episodes, while the main season screen is largely empty? Seems like a waste of screen space that adds one more step to get to where you want to go. Also, it no longer shows checkmarks on the watched episodes, so the only way to find out is to select them one by one?!? This all seems to be a step backwards.

I agree. The new ATV UI is one step forward and one step back. I like the expanded use of fan art, but I am not a fan of how watched / unwatched status is displayed for seasons with that orange loading bar. If a show has a lot of episodes in a season (e.g., Modern Family which had 24 episodes per season at first), and you watched 1 or 2, it's a tiny little orange blip on that season folder - barely noticeable. Also, as you said, navigating to episodes is now a tad more obscured.

And the orange bar only shows up in the Up Next row anyway. In other rows you get the vertical artwork which doesn't show it at all. And there is no way to see which episodes you've watched within the season screen (without going through them one by one). This is particularly annoying for things like anthology or documentary shows that you don't necessarily watch in order.
