And the orange bar only shows up in the Up Next row anyway. In other rows you get the vertical artwork which doesn't show it at all. And there is no way to see which episodes you've watched within the season screen (without going through them one by one). This is particularly annoying for things like anthology or documentary shows that you don't necessarily watch in order.
That is odd. I do see a marker in the corner for each unwatched episode. The watched episodes have nothing. But if I recall, it's backwards on seasons - where the watched season shows a bar at the bottom whereas unwatched shows nothing.

I think I get it now. The bar only shows up if there is at least one unwatched episode. The orange marker in the corner of the season only if all episodes are unwatched. The marker in the corners of individual episodes only if there is at least one unwatched episode in the season. Very confusing.

BTW, marking episodes as watched or unwatched is incredibly awkward. You scroll down to see the episodes, select the episode you want, move up to the mark watched/unwatched button. Once you do that, the entire screen scrolls up (hiding the episodes) and you have to scroll back down. Terrible.

Yea, hopefully they'll fix these UI idiosyncrasies quickly. To their credit, the developer seems pretty responsive to feedback here.

I agree with a lot of the UI observations. Overall, I like the updates, but I prefer the older unwatched icons as they were easier to read. I also don’t like the other items in the folder being further down. I thought they’d been removed altogether before an inadvertent swipe revealed them.
I’m also having a lot of issues with the folders or shows not loading after using the app for awhile (and awhile varies, sometimes it works for long periods and sometimes one video and it stops). Killing and relaunching the app fixes it for awhile. It’s not a network issue or server issue either because plex and jellyfin can stream the same folders and videos while infuse just spins and never loads.

I’m looking forward to the improvements and where 7 goes.

Thx @firecore

Infuse 7.0.1 with a handful of improvements and fixes is now rolling out on the App Store.

Enjoy! 😊

Thank god, classic view is back. Much better. :)

Same here… that UI change was terrible. Having to scroll down to see episodes when you’re looking at a mahoosive 55 or 65 inch screen or bigger… why would anyone think this is an improvement?

ps At least Infuse listened to feedback and gave their users the option... thanks. Once upon a time I bought a Plex Pass... what a horrific POS that software was (is?) ;-)

Still is. Ever since they’ve had their own content, they push it to the exclusion of the users content. I’ll go in and remove their content from the sidebar. Every other update puts it all back and hides mine. It’s frustrating. Plex is only still installed for emergencies right now. Otherwise it’s infuse and jellyfin on infuse.

it’s not going to be long before plex gets uninstalled and forgotten.

"Skip intro for Plex TV shows"

This is awesome, thanks for another great update! Honestly I'm waiting for WWDC to get the Apple TV (depends on TVOS & Hdmi 2.1) but I would've never considered the device if it wasn't for Infuse :D

Any plans to have Infuse support the scroll wheel in the new Siri remote? I can't seem to get it to function right in infuse.

Does this support Apple family sharing for the subscription?
It sure does! :)

More info here.

Coming soon. :)

I updated one of my AppleTV 4Ks to tvOS 15, certainly on the gen 1 Infuse crushes as soon as I tried to play something - the same situation as last time Apple updated tvOS….

If you use Infuse, don’t update yet.

I connected my external hard drive to my Wifi 6 Router, then I set the drive as a shared drive. However, movies are not listed on the home screen. There is only “watching “ on home screen. I added some folders to ”Favorite“, but the movies are in list view instead of grid view. How can I change it to grid view ?
