Hi!

Installed like described in Post #9. (I did it twice.)

Does not work on my MacPro 7.1 - 2019:

Should it work? Or ist there an issue with either Mac Pro 2019 or Catalina?

Thx?

Bye

Macchrizz

You may want to obliterate your SN.

@Macchrizz, the next version of Innie will be compatible with the 2019 Mac Pro. I've sent you a PM in case you want to test it out.

I am trying to do it on my Mac Pro 2019 as well.
Firstly, where can I get the "Innie"?
Secondly, have you tried it now with success?

I am using 2 nos. 2.5" SSD mounted on a PCIe Sonnet card with Apple software RAID.

As the first post mentions, Innie in available in post #9. The current version does not support the 2019 Mac Pro, but there is an experimental version in the works. As for RAID, it poses difficulty that has not yet been overcome.

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to get this set up on my Mac Pro 5,1 with macOS Mojave. When I download the 1.4.3-RELEASE, I can't find the Innie part in it. So I'm unable to complete step #4 in Post #9. What am I doing wrong?

You can find Innie at the bottom of the post.

How about all NVME?

basically yes, because the raidmanager (webGUI) runs only with it.

i uninstalled it and created my raid with disk utility,
and with innie in OC i see the 7101 as internal.

I installed it and disabled my NVME internal OC patch. While it enhanced the GB5 with Two GPU's I stumbled upon a Mojave update issue. Mojave is on the Tiempo pro plus. So during the reboot phase it quit the installer couple of times so I had to reboot with the option key directly to the installer vanilla way bypassing OC.

Hi, this is my first time posting on these forums so sorry if I forgot anything. I recently picked up a mac pro 3,1 and I'm running 10.11.6, and I used Innie 1.2.0 release and Lilu 1.4.4 release. I've currently got a 512 Inland Professional SSD in PCIe slot 2 using an OWC Accelsior S. I'm trying to get my mac to recognize it as an internal drive to use it as my boot drive, but I've had no luck. I did everything from post #9 multiple times, and took some screenshots of what happened.

The first thing I did was disable SIP from boot mode. Then, after downloading Lilu and Innie, I put both of the zips in a folder named 'temp' on my desktop and unzipped them there. At first, I tried using Finder to complete steps 2-5, but I got the pop ups in pics A and B. I then deleted Lilu.kext from /Library/Extensions and restarted the mac. I did a bit of research and found that Finder can cause some issues when installing Lilu. So I started with a fresh download of Lilu and Innie and opened terminal to complete steps 2-6, found in pic C (the black boxes are just me editing out my name). I didn't get any error messages, so I restarted. Upon restarting, I checked extensions within System Report. Lilu and Innie were both there and loaded and I didn't see any other extensions that weren't signed, seen in pics D and E. However, my ssd still appeared as external. I once again deleted Lilu.kext from /Library/Extensions and restarted. I looked a bit more into Lilu, and found a slightly different way to install it, found in pic F. I restarted again, System Information looked exactly the same as in D and E, so I tried restarting and reenabling SIP with "csrutil enable --without kext --without fs" I saw in a couple other posts. There were a couple messages about leaving my mac in a vulnerable state, and I restarted. System Information had not changed and the SSD still appeared as external.

And that's where I am at this point. I've been trying this for a couple hours now, and would appreciate any suggestion. Thanks!

I'm afraid that your issue is not with the installation but with the adapter card. Unfortunately, cards with port multipliers are unsupported at the moment.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon. What kind of card should I have used instead? I'm not really sure what port multipliers even are.

Hi @cdf,
I have audio export essues on Garageband and wonder if it's not because of innie. The main track has no control over the export result.
Has anyone ever had audio issues?
I have this problem since I put lilu/innie.
(lilu v1.4.4)

any update for the 7,1? this looks great, thanks for putting it together!

No release yet. But a few 7,1 users are testing the latest version, which should be available with the open sourcing of the project soon.

Are any scratch disks involved? Note that for certain things, macOS actually doesn't like seeing disks that are not your boot disk or not SATA disks as internal.

Yeah, I am also eager to solve this problem on my brand new MP7,1. It is not only a cosmetic problem, for example I have to constantly allow access to removable media (as my homefolder is on a NVME PCI drive). So I would like to test the latest version with MP 7,1 support, is it already available here?

And, I heard that even regular SATA drives hanging on the internal ports are now seen as external as well on the MP 7,1. I am still waiting for the Fusion Flex from Sonnet to arrive so I can't test this (yet). Will Innie help here as well?
