iOS 10.0.1 GM Bug Fixes And Changes

What's the deal with the ios 10 ipsw? It says "iphone4.7", just like the beta? Does the 6s share the same ipsw with the iphone 6? I m confused.

Didn't get any carrier update yet, but I am not in the US or Canada so maybe that's why.

If I doesn't want to get iOS beta updates anymore and get back on the normal update channel, I just have to remove the beta profile and I will only loose the feedback app, right?

Carrier updates are different for different carriers, so not everyone would necessarily get one or get one at the same time.

iOS 10 jammed my phone totally and even restore is not working. Phone starts and asks to connect iTunes. iTunes gives error code "unknown error 1671".

I've noticed two bugs in addition to those listed.

1) Text size on App Store categories screen and lock screen do not respect the text size set in settings. If you set the smallest text size, the text will appear much larger on those two screens.

2) When HDR mode is manually set to on/off, this setting is reset to Auto the next time the Camera App has been closed/reopened.

When you swipe to the widget screen if there is any emojis on a contact in favorites widget it will be greyed out .... is it a bug ? Or a design wise change ?

It's a design wise feature for the animation when you swipe to the widget screen

Dear Macrumors-Community,

since the iPhone 6 Plus model was released in 2014, iOS allows users to switch the homescreen to landscape-mode when rotating your phone. Sadly, there's a visual error ever since:
- When rotating the phone to the right, the dock fades out and in smoothly (like supposed).
- When rotating the phone to the left, the dock doesn't fade out and in plus folders inside the dock flicker/have visual issues.

Please report this bug! I hate it and would love to - finally - get rid of it! Thank you!

The option isn't in iOS 10.

It's possible Apple just needs to push an App Store update.

Or just try command + update with the full .ipsw.

A few of my friends who just updated today are experiencing issues with the new iMessage effects (Like text effects and tapback) not appearing. Kind of ruins the fun. Haha.

Make sure they have Reduce Motion OFF

(Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion > [OFF] )

Same happened to my friends.

Aside from making sure Reduce Motion is turned off, turning iMessage off and then back on seems to work for a lot of people.

Yes, I noticed that too. Opening camera is now much faster and it doesn't freeze anymore. Very nice
