You can be a free developer and report bugs at http://bugreport.apple.comhey there. How can I report a bug if I don't have developer access?
hey there. How can I report a bug if I don't have developer access?
Well, the fact that it's listed there doesn't mean that it wasn't there in earlier betas as well. As to why there's a 0.1 update before .0 was even publicly released, that's something we aren't really sure about at this point, but there are likely a number of possible reasons.Me, being the nerd that I am, was going though the security updates page on Apple's website and I found that iOS 10.0.1 has it's own page, where one security update is mentioned. It is identified as CVE-2016-4655.
This same fix is mentioned in the iOS 9.3.5 security content page as one of the three major security exploits that allowed hackers to pretty much remotely jailbreak your phone. The other two fixes aren't mentioned in iOS 10.0.1.
This is weird, right? Everyone was so sure this was patched in beta 7/8. Why did they release a 0.1 update to a version the public never saw? Why wasn't this fix added in the iOS 10 betas? Did they ship iPhone 7's with 10.0.0 and then remembered to fix the bug? Why?
It isn't really important but I'm so confused.

I didn't realize that. I guess it depends on what actual builds those versions correspond to, which might shed a bit more light on it.There's a page security content page for iOS 10.0.0 too. It includes a bunch of other fixes but not this one.
It will only scan when your iPhone is locked and in charge , to avoid unnecessary battery drain when you need the battery . Yesterday it scanned my 1900 pictures approx in 1 hour.Anyone having issues with scanning the photo library? My phone wont create the "People Album". Its been scanning since yesterday but no progess at all..

iCloud backup should restore the photos as well unless you/she has turned that option off.I am REALLY f*****g angry.
I was updating my Mum's 6S to iOS 10 using the IPSW on my MacBook, and it went into recovery mode with an error 7. I didn't do a back up because I'm an idiot and now she's lost years of photos.
It's my fault for not doing a backup. But I'm still mad. She has never been more angry in her life. :|
She's restoring from an iCloud backup but she didn't have iCloud Photo Library Turned on and I don't know if her photos are going to be restored.
Technically but iPhone highest res is 12 mp so original photos would be saved on the free version anyway. That only changes at 16mp. (ie digital camera)Congratulations, I am happy for you and your mum
By the way, Google compresses the file size of all photos, if you want unlimited storage. You can choose "original", but then it counts to the limit of 15 GB.
Apparently that feature was removed. Previous beta threads and this GM thread many have mentioned the lack of this feature now.Updated yesterday and now i'm seeing that the proactive suggestion of opening the podcast app or music app on the lock screen after you put in your headphones into the headphone jack isn't working anymore. Is this a new change or is anyone else experiencing this issues?
Anyone having an issue with the iMessage audio message firing off randomly when turn device in landscape to use the handwritten messages? I am seeing this randomly on 6s. Restored earlier today since beta 9's and beta 10's were OTA'ed on this device and just wanted to start with fresh full iOS download. Still does it.

Yes actually I do. Unsure why that would effect this unless its a bug as that is for incoming messages yes? Just tried it several times (still enabled) and it didnt do it this time. I will turn that off next time it does it and see if thats whats causing it. If so it must be a bug. Thx for suggestion.Do you by chance have raise to listen turned on?
I feel for you. That's an awful feeling. To echo the others, I would use Google Photos. I lost a hard drive with all my full resolution photos going back 10 years. Google Photos saved my lunch! (Though, ironically, it may have been the 3 day process of uploading all those photos to Google Photos that caused the drive to fail!)I am REALLY f*****g angry.

Is the Multilingual typing thing working for anyone?
Haven't been able to use it since PB1 and even after installing the public release as a clean install it doesn't work.
I have downloaded the Dictionaries and added the keyboards but I still have to change between them to write in another language.
Also, I'm not receiving the Contextual Suggestions.
Does it has to learn what I do for a few days before this 'new' thing function?
Yeah same here. Occasional stutter, with quick reply being the slowest.I've experienced occasional hang ups, but that was earlier in the beta. Although I am still seeing slow loading when I the in-notification reply feature for messages.
