I dont think its a "feature" but its there on purpose. I think it has to do with the speed of the iPhone 7 exiting apps.

My only request is for them to fix the acceleration of the wallpaper so that it finishes at the same time the icons stop. That would make me happy. The extra movement of the wallpaper after the animation is finished, looks sloppy.

Performance is fine on my iPhone 6 Plus. Switching to zoomed mode however, it's kind of like night and day. Like I don't understand... it's been 2 years and you still can't optimize animations for your 1080p smartphones? In zoomed mode, I believe it lowers the resolution to 750p resolution of the regular versions. I feel like the IPhone 6 Plus users never got fully satisfied with animation performance since launch. iOS 8 was fine, but many apps didn't support the resolution right away, iOS 9 was complete dogsh*t in animations for the plus models, and now iOS 10 is okay, much better than 9, but still very visible stutters. I think I'm just going to keep it on zoomed mode. This thing flies now TBH lmao.
[doublepost=1475984504][/doublepost]This is a test you can do on your own on the plus models of iPhones. Goto messages and scroll up and down fast(provides you text enough people for you to scroll), and look at the jank and stutters. Now goto settings and display options, switch the display mode to zoom, and do the same thing.... look how much smoother it is. Idk what's going on over there at Apple. Optimize your software Jesus Christ.
[doublepost=1475985176][/doublepost]Also why the hell does it take AGES to set a wallpaper? Like I don't understand LMAO

Didn't even notice that before you pointed it out. Reminds me of the parallax effect. It zooms in with the same speed as it zooms out when opening apps. Doesn't bother me. The window bouncing when opening the app switcher I agree isn't a "bug". But I don't think it's intended behavior either. It will get fixed. They just have to rework the animation as apps close faster now. It doesn't bounce when entering app switcher from the home screen as the home screen can't close.

Siri sucks battery like a hog. Just a one minute conversation with siri for some random googling dropped battery by 7-8% right in front of eyes! Phone goes hot too. Tried multiple times with same result! Can anybody else check this? 6s+

Another couple hours with my Bluetooth and it's better than 10.0.2 because it actually stays connected but it did speed up during a couple songs. So I'm praying the final 10.1 fixes it completely.

How's the battery life? Is it better than 10.0.2?

OK, let's get serious now. Second Beta 10.1 public came out last Tuesday, right? Which means, we all had a chance to charge it again, how many times? 2, maybe 3 or 4. Bottom line, to early to say how much. And don't forget, that all of us use our precious phones differently, so no one can tell you for sure how much...The fact is and also confirmed by couple of friends of mine (all 6 and 6S, no 7 sorry), battery life is significantly better (BTW, important notice, none of us use FB :) )

Fair enough. But how can you say the battery life is "significantly better" if it's "too early to say"?

Easy, at the end of the day, I always have 15 to 25% more battery than before, depending on my usage, which is not the same every day. Anything else you would like to know :)

15 to 25% more than iOS 10.0.2? Whoa. I'm so updating

Again, everyone uses their phone entirely different. If you are constantly in a place with one less bar of service than the person you are talking with, your phone will die much faster. There are way too many variables. For example, you said 10.0.2 is horrible for you, well its fantastic for me. My battery lie is doubled on 10.0.2 compared to 10.0.1.

Does 10.1 fix the up next queue in music not functioning properly? Right now deleting songs from the queue causes them to pop right back up after the current song ends.

Yeah you're right. How's 10.1 beta 2 doing for you?

Not running it. I finally got solid battery life after running iOS 10 beta most of the summer. Didn't want to risk it. Thats why I'm staying around here reading other's experiences. From what I've heard and read its decent, so I might risk it with beta 3.

I got off the public beta with iOS 10.0.1. Considering going back again now.

Same here. Been running public betas since iOS 9. And was planning on skipping that with my new 7plus and iOS 10. But hearing all these reports about how stable it is and the portrait feature is maybe slowly luring me in again. Trying to stay strong and wait for gm at least.

Honestly, I think 10.1 beta 2 is better and more stable than 10.0.2 so you've got nothing to lose and only things to gain.

Not to mention can always go back to 10.0.2 if things don't work out. But I agree 10.1 seems to be fine and at least as good as 10.0.2.

My battery life has been great since I received my 7 Plus with 10.0.2 already installed, and then I jumped on the 10.1 beta 2 and it's been even better than 10.0.2 IMO.

Someone mentioned everyone's battery life will be different because everyone uses their phone differently and use different apps.

I have a 6s+ and I expect battery life to be better than what I'm getting. I log out of the Facebook app when I don't use it. I have turned on "reduce motion." For a couple days, I tried enabling Low Power Mode for two days straight but didn't make a huge difference. I've tried doing a fresh restore. Just can't figure it out. Maybe I'm expecting too much. I don't know.

Facebook app is known to be a drainer. Best to just use mobile FB on safari. Also, your snapchat and messages is using an inordinate amount of battery for the amount of on screen time. Perhaps reinstall snapchat (or clear cache using many apps in appstore) and clear out messages you dont need in messages app.

but a poor job at cache management
One of my game can automatically delete downloaded voice data after completing a story chapter.
I don't think iOS needs to be similar to android on this one. Most of the time, especially for games, cleaning cache almost mean you need to download all of them again, usually a few gigs.
There is one case I believe it is legit though. If game stores game data on device, cleaning cache could possibly prevent game data from being removed.
