I don't have any camera (shutter click) sounds when using the software button or the volume button to trip the shutter.
The mute switch is not on.
The volume when not in camera is turned all the way to max.
When holding down the button to do a burst I DO get the burst sound.
Camera app has been quit.
Phone has been hard reset (power & vol).
iPhone 7 clean install when purchased. After loading apps and configuring did the update to 10.1b1

Any ideas?

and you have the Volume all the way up? like if you were listening to music Volume, right? not the Ringers & Alerts Volume.

it is pretty odd. if you're getting the shutter burst sound, you should hear the shutter sound as well. I kind of wish mine were like that though. loll

Pulled the trigger on 10.1 beta 2 last night with some of the positive battery life, and animations comments being reported. My main reason was seeing some user's bluetooth problems going away.

My car lasted a 40 min trip this morning on bluetooth with no skipping, speeding up, or cutting off. Going to give it a couple more days though before I celebrate lol.
Another couple hours with my Bluetooth and it's better than 10.0.2 because it actually stays connected but it did speed up during a couple songs. So I'm praying the final 10.1 fixes it completely.

Yes music vol is all the way up. This is really strange. I dread setting up as new.

Also, all other camera shutter sounds work except the regular camera (square, video, etc.)

I had the same problem. Fixed itself an hour later. I have no idea what caused it.

Anyone seen issues with text messages from twitter being randomly truncated? I have several people set to send message as text notifications also, and recently messages have been getting cut off after about 50 characters with ... at the end. The full tweet is visible on Tweetbot, for example.

Very weird. Never seen this on 9, don't recall on 10.0, and this shouldn't be on the twitter side as they usually append that URL of your mobile twitter link to short posts sent as texts.

Also not connected to the bogus 'you have reach your daily limit' BS...

Edit: Adding example:

Text message:
@cnnbrk: German police are carrying out a major operation due to "s...

No but I've seen twitter links in messages not being previewed as they should be. They are just links smh

This is only iOS 10 build frankly that has felt GMish status for me after a couple days.

And I had 10.0.1 when I had a 7 For a week before going 7+ all sorts of weird bugs on that one.

Not perfect I had one crash switching to landscape accidentally toggling CC at same time but seems good overall! And no camera crash so far woo

This kinda reminds me of 7.1 beta days when 7.0.x was junk particularly on 64 bit-- 7.1 was that much better I jailbroke that version on my iPad mini2 and iPhone 5 and removed the expiration on it. Rode that out until I don't even remember I think proper 7.1.2 jb if memory serves me right.

Beta to the rescue !

I've noticed a new bug. Freshly restored and set up as new 6s, I deleted the news app hoping it will work in widget mode, now I can t find the app in the appstore, I went to "apple" apps and it's nowhere to be found. Basically, my iphone is News-less

Strange. I search for 'apple news' and it's right there saying 'open' since I have it...

Threw the beta on my new 7+ and after the install the phone was scolding hot. Like burn-your-fingers hot. I took it off charge and shut it off to allow it to cool. Turned it back on and it still stayed pretty warm. Did a simulated battery pull and set it on the back of my iPad Pro as that thing stays super cool all the time. Turned it back on and so far so good (knock on wood). Really weird, never had that happen before.

Omg the 7 plus animation lag is doing my head in, plz tell me this beta 2 isnt the final 10.1 it just cant be

I don't think the animation is going to be fixed. It bothers me too, but it's obviously intentional. They would've fixed it by now if it was a mistake. It's their latest iPhone. They wouldn't let it look worse than the 6s unless it was a feature.

I'm willing to bet the new animation is a feature.

I dont think its a "feature" but its there on purpose. I think it has to do with the speed of the iPhone 7 exiting apps.
