Maybe it's not a bug and apple thinks it's better this way.

Its a bug, Apple has collected dozens of logs from me since Beta 8 and told me its a bug, but they are for sure slow at fixing it. This issue does not happen anywhere else in iOS and it works fine in Safari with 3rd party keyboards.

Is your bug report still listed as open?

Yes, and I have 4 of them open still.
10.0 Beta 8, 10.0.1, 10.0.2, 10.1 Beta 1, and about to do 10.1 Beta 2. Even though I'm not running the betas I'm still submitting.

It's Macrumors a/k/a drama queen central. End of the world a Beta 2 has a 1/10th of 1 second stutter to it. Apple should just pack up shop now.
Have you seen Chris Pirillo on twitter? All he does practically is rant about slight frame rate drops. He @ mentions all kinds of tech journalists trying to get them to run his "story". All I know is I'm really glad he's not a product manager I work with. Seems like a nightmare person.

I'm guessing that we likely won't see a fix until there's some activity in those bugs (and they actually get resolved).

Well from past experience they usually send me an email saying "a new beta has been released, please let us know if the issue has been resolved." If I respond that its been resolved then the cases typically all close. I just have yet to get that email from them for this bug.

Interesting. It's almost likely they are hoping it's just some glitch you are ah info that will go away or something else will magically make it go away instead of actually working on the specific issue (and updating the related bugs about it).

Anything is possible, but given that it hasn't worked that way before and still works correctly in other apps (even those from Apple), and seems to be that way just in Safari, seems like more of a bug than anything else.
Yeah, seems highly unlikely Apple would intentionally have the keyboard behave this way only with Safari.

I'm amazed that this bug appears to be so difficult for Apple to fix.

I'm really counting on them fixing this bug because I would've gotten the iPhone 6S Plus but I wanted the better camera and 3GB of RAM.

It's completely software related though and has nothing to do with the new home button (because I turned on the accessibility setting and tried using the software home button and it does the same thing)

I got rid of my 6s Plus to get the 7 Plus.

So is volume quieter from beta 1 to 2, or the same?

Will wait for public beta, but also peoples input on 7+ whether this is a worthy leap from public beta 1

Can someone take a lot of successive photos (not burst, but repeatedly) on 1x, 2x, opening and closing camera app, and portrait mode and let us know if it's as crash-y prone as other versions??

Has the VZ carrier file been updated ?
Yes 26.0

Safari Keyboard bug fixed?
Nope but I will report it too so the more the better I suppose.

It's beta 2. Have a little patience.
Problem is the iP7 has not worked right from the get go. So to those folks its not about a beta 2 of the NEXT version. 10.0.1 and 10.0.2 should have been better for those devices. Both worked pretty well on older devices.

Maybe it's not a bug and apple thinks it's better this way.
Nope, why ONLY Safari and not other apps? Any why has it always worked until late betas of iOS 10? They somehow think that you always type 2 digit numbers so they change it? Nah

I can't be sure, but the first thing I noticed after the update was key presses sounded louder to me.

Really? It's not difficult to fix! There are just other bugs to look at that are more important. It's a slight animation delay. Something like that isn't high priority.

I understand that, but the animations have changed from beta 1 to beta 2.
