If anyone wants a technical stand point of view on it-

The reason being for the animation stutter is springboard has to make a decision based on
a software button that can be pressed any time. Without a physical button to press and notify springboard
your intention is actually to close the app or visit the springboard with hardware it can only pause and
wait for further input until a few milliseconds pass it can proceed. The animation isn't the problem- it's
most likely the logic behind it.

False. Turn on assistive Touch and activate the home button via the on screen menu. It still does the same thing. Do this on a non iPhone 7 and it's normal.

It's not the new home button.

But how does that make sense? Any none iPhone 7 has the same animations as a iP7. Apple HAD to implement
a slightly different variation of the software into the new 7's because of the software button. This could be seen as system wide.

Animations definitely smoother on my 7. Not perfect but not bugging me anymore. Overall seems more responsive and my wifi is fixed (was running at terrible speeds before).

Yep and it's working now. The option was there in beta 1 but not making any difference.
That's a nice update IMO

It also means that I can stop griping about the app-closing animations. I only had Reduce Motion off so I could use the Message effects. I hate app animations in general. :D

That's good. I'll take the plunge on the public beta tomorrow then. What the the slight delay when "pressing" the Home button?

Worlds fastest iPhone...

Can't do a simple animation though.

It bothers me that last year's iPhone, all the iPads and every device that supports iOS 10 can do these animations perfectly, yet the very newest device struggles with it. What the hell Apple!

What is going on with them? I've never had a brand new iPhone that has performed more poorly than the one that came before it.

Usually, the latest iOS is optimized the most for the newest hardware and everything else sort of falls behind, but this time it seems like the newest hardware has fallen behind and the rest of the iDevices are optimized.
exactly I see where your coming from no one gets it, the iPhone 7 plus is horrible I want my 6s plus speed back, apple have so badly ****ed up this time

Totally with you.
I loved the bug in iOS that killed all animations.
The phone just felt like a rocket, opening every thing instantly.
I really miss that bug.

Agreed. I'll have to get rid of the app animations the old-fashioned way as soon as it is available. :D

I think all these stutter bugs in iphone 7 has to do something with the less powerful 2 cores. Its like OS cannot schedule animation threads for the more powerful cores or switches cores in the middle of animation. Just my imagination...

Anyway my ip 6s+ is buttery smooth. I hope its more battery friendly than the previous beta too. We'll see.

This is my thougt. Seems like the cpu is switching to the faster cores wich makes it stutter for a very short moment

cant be. everything is very smooth on the iphone 7 and even when you pressing the homebutton very fast after open an app, the animation is smooth. so it cant be a hardware issue.

Does it fix the AirPrint bug:
When printing a word or excel file attachment in Mail the document appears briefly in the print preview then disappears. When printing the document is blank.

Doesn't affect PDF files or jpegs.

also there is a pleasing animation change on opening Safari (maybe it applies to all app opening aminations). open a webpage in safari, then click home button to swicth to the springboard. then click safari to open it again. did you notice how gracefully it renders the page? or is it just me?

How's quick reply typing lag? Whenever I type into a quick reply on my iPhone 5 I can out-type the keyboard and it'll drop letters. Irritating.

Rotation + Dock on all iPhone x Plus models still is not fixed. Can someone please add this to the first post and report the issue, I'm not able to edit it myself - thanks.
