This update fixed my issues with my bluetooth connections issues with my Honda Civic. Haven't dropped since... before it was constant...

Funny how this old bug still exists:

Opening app switcher while in an app, and sliding up an app before the animation completes (without letting go) will cause it to snap back into place, where you have to take your finger off the screen to make it move again (since iOS9, I can reproduce on iPhone 5, 5S, 6, 6S, iPad Mini, and iPad 3).

Bit annoying, but whatever. There is a window where even swiping to close an app will cause this too, rather than intentionally doing it as above.

I was hoping it would fix my issues but we'll see.

The phone app often crashes when I open it, especially on the favourites tab. I end up with a frozen screen and I have to force close the app.

When opening the camera it often lags and I have a blurred window for a good 15 seconds. With a new baby I've missed a few photo opportunities.

Siri has got to be the worst for me. I've used it for years now and this release has just messed it right up. Every launch has Siri telling me 'it get that' when I'm about 3 words into a sentence. It also takes 4-5 attempts to set a timer where it pauses and goes into a confused state.

I love the new features of iOS 10, but it was far too buggy to be released yet compared to previous releases. After a month now I would have expected these to have been addressed a lot sooner. There we are though.
The above was mentioned in the release notes:
  • Fixes an issue where opening the Camera app would show a blurred or flashing screen for some users

10.1 doesn't like my work wifi for some reason. Safari loads pages incredibly slowly (if at all), most apps refuse to load anything. Will be restoring it tonight as this was an upgrade from iOS9 to iOS10, then to iOS10.1, but it's a bit worrying!

Edit - apparently we have issues at work, not iOS10.1 related!
I would forget that connection and rejoin the network. That is a common fix for particular wifi/router issues.

I'm using a brand new iPhone 6S though. If others aren't experiencing these bugs, is it a fresh install required? I've nearly thrown my phones cross the room this week with how glitchy it's become. I wish I'd held off installing it to be truthful.
The safari keyboard issue will be addressed in 10.2 according to Apple. A restore wont help (neither will throwing it across the room :) )so save yourself the trouble. Oh and depending on what issues you are having (iP6s here and no issues at all really other than the 123/abc keyboard and the invisible button in music) you may consider a "reset all settings" as that is known to solve a lot of issues after an update. Of course you loose wifi network info and have to add them back and re-apply any custom settings you want but otherwise pretty painless.

My iPhone 6s is having serious bluetooth issues. My Plantronics backbeat Fit and Apple Watch keep dropping connection. The bluetooth icon in the status bar of the phone will blink rapidly for about 10 seconds, then the can reconnect.
i go to apple store because of this bluetooth problem and they replace my iphone 7 plus. it working well now.

WHERES MUH FRIGGIN NEW WALLPAPERS YA THIEVIN' BAST@RDS!?!?!?

But yeah...I want em
I was just thinking about that last night while updating my AppleTV. They have those beautiful new wallpapers in tvOS, why not use some of those shots for iOS?!?! Feels like a HUGE missed opportunity to me.

Sorry for possibly derailing the thread a little bit, but since I've heard so many different answers for this and since it's already been discussed in this thread I thought I'd check once and for all:

What are the differences between a hard, and a soft reset? Hard reset is power and home / volume down buttons, and soft reset is using the slider? Or the other way around? The technical aspects at play have been explained, and I thank you for that, it's just the terminology that confuses me greatly.

EDIT: TL;DR: Hard is home+power, soft is slider?
No worries! You're right - soft is just using the slider to power off the phone, and hard is doing the 2-button combo to force a reset.

Apps does not update automatically on this version of iOS, even though you're on wifi. Annoying as hell...

I have sent a bug report to Apple but I saw this bug in the betas for 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3 versions as well =(

They do, just not instantly. Takes a few hours to up to a day for it to update the app.

Not in my case I'm, afraid =(. I have even sign out/in out the account in App Store, done a reset of the network settings and also toggled the app update button of/off. They should be downloaded when inside of my wifi network

Have you contacted Apple about it? I no longer have auto-updates turned on, but I know for sure it worked in iOS 9.3.4 for me.

This happens even on iOS 10.0.3. When you install any new app, by default Background app refresh used to be turned on for that app only, but in since iOS 10, installing new app or even update (especially Google apps) turns on BAR for all apps and requires to manually turn it off one by one.

Is this a bug or a feature? It certainly is a drag.

I had iOS 10.1 beta on my iPhone se. Last night I was prompted to upgrade to the public beta and it was 1.7 gigabytes which seemed weird to me. I did the upgrade now my messaging app is not working correctly, I cannot update my Apple Watch to watch os 3.1, and the update notification will not go away for updating the software. Any suggestions?

Ok, anyone else got a Japanese iPhone 7 and is severely pissed that they found out about the AssistiveTouch cheat to silence the camera and fixed it in 10.1? I just want to take pictures without being bedazzled by the "CHI-CHINK!!!" shutter sound... Is that too much to ask for?

Flip the vibrate switch?

Flip the vibrate switch?

The Japanese government demands phone manufacturers to embed within their phones an always-on shutter sound. That's because there are creepy weirdos that use their cameras on their phone to take upskirt photos on the subway and what not. Hence - the shutter sound is always on. Doesn't matter if the silence switch is flicked, if headphones are connected, it's irrelevant...
Before 10.1, you could set up Assistive Touch to be a Mute button, that once pressed really did mute the shutter sound, but now no more. I'm dying to find a legit hack for this.
