Installed Dev Beta 5 and my iPhone 7 Plus just stopped getting text messages.
It was working fine on beta 4 but since I installed beta 5 I just can receive calls..

Try toggling Airplane mode and if that doesn't work then reset network settings.

Mine works fine.

Had to get the SIM card out of the iPhone and put in on another device to get text messages. Don't know if this bug was related with the Dev Beta 5 but it started exactly after I updated.

I restored back to 10.0.3 and know I want to update again to the 10.1 beta. I already have the profile on my iPhone (I enrolled to public beta and installed the profile) but on software update it says I already have the latest update (10.0.3)
It's not detecting the 10.1 update. What can I do ?

EDIT: Just downloaded the IPSW and updated via itunes..

Still have this awful bug in NC where white lines / blocks appear, disappear and flash behind notifications- only seems to be an issue when text size on phone set to small which I prefer - tested on multiple plus devices and still there reported a while back too!

yes!!! still having the same bug in NC on my new iPhone 7PLUS (same before in 6sPLUS). And it only seems to be an issue when pulling down NC on home screen. nowhere else happens it when pulling down NC. Any ideas?

The only animation I wish they would fix is the one when closing an app after several seconds being open.

It starts slow (running slightly behind the wallpaper zooming) and then ramps up speed to catch up. If you open an app and immediately close it, and animation is as it should be.

To those who can't see it, be grateful you can't. But just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

On my 7+, the app closing lag was fixed in beta 3, the app switcher animation lag is still slightly present for me in beta 5, but has definitely improved a bit. I am hoping to have it cleared up by public release. For those saying the 7 plus is not a good phone.. I think that's a little extreme. Yes, definitely unacceptable and Apple is working to rectify, but these things can happen with new phones. It doesn't make it junk, just be a little patient. It certainly hasn't detracted from it being a great phone.

Not really a big deal this bug is but should still be fixed. But the reason it does that when you first open an app, it shows a screen capture right away until the app refreshes and updates itself, usually after a second or so. What you are seeing is the app is closed while showing the cached screen capture.

No, it's an entirely different closing animation. It has nothing to do with the cached screenshot.

Where did you get the ISPW file from? I found one last night for the 10.1 beta but I ran into an error when I tried installing it through itunes

I have lots of Springboard crashes on the lock screen when interacting with notifications, it has been happening ever since 10.1 beta 1.

I'm back to 10.0.3, but maybe Apple pulled beta 5 for a reason? so if you can't download it, just have patience. We'll either get a new beta next week or the final 10.1 release (I hope).

Sorry what I am getting at is it may be a bug due to the different states of apps - transitioning from cached to running app affects this animation

Not detecting any changes from beta 4 (iPhone 7).

On the 5th beta of a x.1 release, I wouldn't expect to see too many. I know you want fixes for the keyboard thing, etc... but I think you would have seen those level of changes between betas no later than beta 2, honestly. But, carry on! 10.2 betas will surely only be a week or 2 after 10.1 drops, so you may only have 2-3 weeks to wait!

Given the timing of it all and the fact that it's only for iPhone 7 line of phones, with 10.0.3 being released just a couple of days before, also only for iPhone 7 line of phones, seems like it would be a reasonable conclusion that what's in 10.1 beta 5 is most likely what's in 10.0.3.
