They've been releasing it every monday for quite some time now. Why would they change now?
Correct. And I would even bet that 10.2 beta 4 is the same as the final version we will see next week. It already has a "final"-like build-number (no letter at the end) and they did this too with 10.1 where the final version was the same as it's beta 5 released one week before.

  • Siri can not search for iTunes purchases that are no longer available for sale in the iTunes Store. This previously worked with the Video App.
How is this listed as a bug? (post #1) It would seem if something is no longer available it should NOT find it. Maybe the previous way it worked was the bug that was fixed?

My mobile carrier (Telenor Norway) will make Wifi-calling available with Apple's next update and said it would be available next week within 09. december. So I'm guessing final release of 10.2 will be next week.

Makes since. Probably a release on Thursday 12/8 based on this info.

I just hope they have a lot more cable providers signed up for the TV app and Single Sign On than are showing now. I suspect they do, but you never know: I would have thought Apple Pay would have much greater acceptance by now than it has, too.

The last time that I looked at ApplePay, it was charging fees to deposit banks, which was going to potentially lead to the banks charging more in credit card deposit fees to recuperate the Apple charges.

Small Subchapter S companies wouldn't want to install extra hardware, and their deposit banks openly lobbied against ApplePay, and here we are after all this time with not that much ApplePay merchant support.

You'll find it in a lot of big companies where the charges don't make that big a difference.

But the backbone of American business is these small Subchapter S companies with fewer than 500 employees, and their deposit banks just aren't enthusiastic about ApplePay.

Don't disagree. And the very attractive fees have enticed other entrants to join the fray (ChasePay, WalmartPay, etc...). We'll get there, especially as the pin & chip machines become more prevalent. At some point, we'll get to a common standard and, like all attempts at monopoly, the monopoly profits will reduce to a much more manageable level, along the lines of credit card surcharges (e.g., 2% or so). Or Apple may open its own bank and reap the fees that way rather than attempting to charge a fee for participation in Apple Pay from retailers. This may be a very real possibility if they are able to repatriate a lot of their overseas profits.

The 'Add to Up Next' option has disappeared from the music app. 'Play Next' is still there though.

That option is one of the options I use most within the Music app. I hate that  keeps taking it away and putting it back.

You are selling a device for a slight inconvenience that requires a reboot? I hardly think that is a reason to sell the device. Yes its annoying but you might be overreacting.

Who cares? Apple takes a long time to get it fixed, let them fix it. Quit complaining about lock orientation bug, please calm down and be patient. Thanks.

I have a local provider (Fiber TV/Internet) so doubtful they will ever be in the list. But I like their service better than any I have had to date so ...... I suspect at time goes they will be adding more major players to the mix.

do you guys prefer beta 4 over 10.1?
Yes. Several fixes over 10.1 and 10.1.1. And its a beta still!

I have noticed that it's no longer possible to use the search function within the Messages app for messages sent/received before this beta. Go to the Messages app and drag down to that you see the search bar. Try typing a contacts name in the search bar. Does it work for you? If this was working properly, you should be able to find all contacts relating to your search and not just the messages that you sent since you installed this beta. When I search for a message from a contact I only find messages from contacts that I have sent/received a message from since I installed this beta. Weird...
