Is anyone having problems with iTunes backups with 10.2 B4/B5? Every time I try to do an encrypted backup I get an error on both iPad and iPhone. "Your device could not be backed up because the connection to the device was reset". I've tried different cables and deleted the files in the iTunes Lockdown folder. Deleting the files seemed to help for a little but the issue still returns.

According to the release notes, still not possible.

Wow. Hard to imagine this is the last beta, but being 2 in a week, I'm sure it is. And the stupid video app keeps moving out of a folder if you restart the device. It doesn't affect my usage, but just annoying.

I think you misread my post haha, overall what fixes have been made in 10.2 over 10.1

No, you said what has been changed in this beta compared to 10.1.

"What fixes have been made in this beta over 10.1"

Compared to 10.1 this beta has little changes, if any.

Most of those things that were mentioned in the wikis of previous 10.2 beta threads (in particular beta 1 and 2).

Well, compared to 10.1 this would have all the changes that have been made in 10.2.

Who is your carrier? I didn't update until Beta 4 and then Beta 5 today, but my LTE speeds with AT&T in SoCal are exactly the same. The keyboard fix alone was worth updating for me. I just waited for more stability.

(Getting 45Mbps down and 4Mbps up with 2 bars of service)

I am with verizon. In areas where I used to get great LTE, it sucks now on a 7. high bars and high MBPS but the actual speed is terrible

Correct, but his original post seems to only mean this beta as he said "this beta over 10.1". But we are all good now. He clarified.

Any chance Verizon is having the issue? And its not beta related? Tried resetting network settings?

Yes, several times. I don't encrypt my backups in iTunes but I keep getting the same error message. I also thought it could be related to the cables (after a Google search) but I have tried three different cables and two different USB ports but not joy. Could it be a bug in iTunes or Mac OS Sierra 10.12.1 or is it in fact in the iOS? What version of Mac OS are you running? I managed to backup my iPhone after deleting the backup in preferences in iTunes and then do another backup. Very annoying...

Running latest iTunes, Sierra 10.12.1 (Not running beta) and now iOS 10.2B5. Started with Beta 4 on Monday. I did not run any betas prior to 4, but the issue was 100% not an thing on 10.1.1. So its probably a compatibility issue between iOS 10.2 and iTunes. Or its solely an iOS bug. I will report now.

Glad I am not the only one. Thought I was having a problem with my computer.

I have done your work around as well, but about 50% of the time it fails. When it fails, it actually creates a corrupt backup in iTunes, so I have to delete that and try again. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it fails and I have to delete the corrupt backup again.

I'm not running any beta version of Sierra either and like you I also thought that it could be a problem with the computer (phew). Thanks for reporting. Is it any idea for me to report it as well? It will probably be marked as a duplicate?
