I know it's been a bug for awhile on air 2 but until this beta my air worked the way it's supposed to. Immediately after installing this beta my rotation has been completely screwed up. This is a major issue, how is this still a problem after 5 freaking betas???

Shouldn't this be listed in the bugs section?

The problem is its sporadic. There is nothing that triggers the orientation to stick. It can happen after 10 minutes, or 24 hours. There is no way to track it down. I have been submitting bug reports and SysDiagnostic logs to Apple for weeks now. Its no different than when iCloud email stopped pushing. When something is sporadic, its that much more difficult to narrow down.

Yes its annoying bug, but it does not prevent you from using the device. You can either use it in the orientation that it is locked in or just reset the device. Additionally, its not an orientation issue, its an accelerometer issue. When the device locks into orientation, the accelerometer does not work. Thats why you can rotate the screen. I have verified this by trying to use Real Racing when it locks up.

Hello everyone.. I am Still having an issue installing beta like I did with four keeps telling me that the update can't verify. I've tried a reboot and resetting my network settings and deleting the beta profile and putting it on again still no luck I am stumped. Anyone have any other ideas as to what I can try to fix this?

How about an iTunes update?

I have this issue on my Air 2 since the first beta of iOS 10. Someone feedback Apple about this issue or I will do it by myself.

It might actually work, I sent apple feedback about animation lag with the notification center and it was fixed in the latest beta, so if all the iPad air 2 users send feedback you might get lucky and get a fix.

Apple really needs to either hire more software developers or retrains the ones they've got because this is ridiculous. I actually think there could be a X.5 this year because there are so many bugs that it'll take forever to fix most of them.

The problem is its a sporadic issue and cannot be easily narrowed down. The issue does not occur 100% of the time so it is much harder to figure out what is actually going on. I can have the issue within 10 minutes of 36 hours of not touching the device. It is so entirely random and it is very difficult to pin-point. I'm not defending Apple, just giving them the benefit of the doubt. Its not as easy as we think it is.

You're right but I just feel like nothing is really exciting about iOS that much anymore and now we have to deal with constant bugs that do eventually get fixed but they really shouldn't be there in the 1st place but I give apple credit to how fast they put out some updates and bug fixes as android is plagued by stagnation in software updates.

You are 100% correct. Things have begun to stagnate on the new feature side yet there are bugs that remain. Like you said, Im just thankful we do get the updates and bug fixes that Android does not, and in addition most of the bugs don't affect our day to day usage. They are just annoyances. But I will take 10 annoyance bugs over 1 big bug any day of the week.

Side note.
Zero complaints about battery life. Kind of hope this is the actual final public release build so I know the next couple of months will have awesome battery life. This is a 7Plus.

Do you report the bugs in the appropriate manner to apple? Or just post them on here. If its the latter, then they won't be fixed as Apple doesn't monitor this forum.

I have open reports to Apple from 10.0 beta 1 that still haven't been fixed. Reporting to Apple is no guarantee they're actually going to do something about it. The QC on their software has flat out gone down the toilet since iOS 7. It just has. iOS 6 and below didn't have a public beta program and didn't need 3-4 .x releases to get it right. It was mostly good in the X.0 release and then there was an X.1 release a few months later to iron out the remaining bugs.

I was willing to give Cook and company a pass with iOS 7 because they basically threw out the entire OS and started over. iOS 7 was a buggy sack of crap (especially on iPad). But so was OSX 10.0, which was really the last time Apple did a complete UI overhaul. So, I kind of expected it and let it go. But we are now 4 years on and with iOS 10, the amount of bugs remaining in the OS at public release time is just flat out unacceptable. Hell, even the new TV app doesn't work right and we are presumed to be at or close to the public release build. Apple has a ton of cash on hand. Could it not use a little bit of it to ensure better QC in its software?

I'm having Mail alert issues. I have my incoming Mail set to "Ding", the default, but it's always another sound that gets played. I've tried selecting other alerts and have even restarted the phone but it's always playing the same sound. Anyone having this issue?

Yes every bug I see. I give detailed reports but so far only one has been fixed.

Anyone else have any cellular data strangeness?

Just try to remember, how many devices we had on IOS 6 and how many we have today on ios 10......
