Is the headphone icon in the status bar new? I never noticed it before updating to 10.2.

The activity widget can now be added as a favorite in the Health app.

What? How does that work? Just shows the three colored lines for the day?

I hate the new health app so much. Been 2 months, but still can't get use to it. I never use it anymore.

Noticed the keyboard sounds are silenced on the MR mobile version of the website, when using the rolling control at the bottom of the screen. Nice! :apple:

Also noticed for HEY SIRI, the explanatory text at the bottom refers to when "connected to power", which is not applicable for the 6S (and 7).
Not showing that for me (iP6s) Assuming you are saying that its showing on 6s but shouldn't be?

They finally fixed the merged button bug from in the music app on 4 Inch devices. After like, 6 releases. *sigh*.

It was the same on the larger devices (6 and 6s) as well if zoomed mode was on.

Not fixed. Maybe you misunderstood. If keyboard clicks sounds are off the calculator still clicks. (unless the silence/vibrate switch is also off)

Sounds like another fix/change to add to the OP. They are really squashing quite a few bugs and annoynances with this one it seems.
see above.

Yes, each day now shows the activity rings just like the widget from the activity app.
Previously that was only available via the Health Data Tab under Activity, it looked different, you couldn't add it to favorites and it wasn't shown under Today at all.

Ah okay cool. So kind of what it use to be when we had the dashboard.

They removed the numbers after the alphabet in the music app, albums. It used to overlap the album artwork but now the last thing is a # after Z. It wasn't a text size issue after all like users said here. "No." Was just too wide to fit in the space at the right.

That sort of makes sense? If you want to go to songs or albums starting with a number just scroll to "Z" (or whatever the last letter is)?

  • "Show Contact Photos" setting for Messages now controls and applies to the photo/initial thumbnail at the top of conversations - Option does not exist on iPhone 7 or 4 inch iPhones. (Therefore it is impossible to show the contact photos at the top of conversations on 4 inch phones)
Can someone explain me this, why is the option not available on iPhone 7 ? Is it a bug with the beta or will it never be added ? I'm not a fan of the bubble in conversation so I hope this feature will be in the final build.

I think they realized that you can't really spare that much screen real estate on the smaller screens, so the icons are disabled on them.

I suspect the icons weren't meant to show on any device other than the Plus models, and the fact that they did was a bug.

Are we talking about the photo icon on top of the conversation messages ? Because if that's the case I have them on a regular iPhone 7 not the Plus model.

When swiping down on the home screen to reveal Spotlight on iPad Air, the background blur now cross fades instead of it getting stronger as you move farther down. Looks terrible and doesn't seem to have improved performance.

So in this beta, are you saying the placeholders are there or aren't and that the option is only there on the Plus models?
