of course they get stored on the device, her iMessage took up 15 GB. it would actually crash if selected too many images to delete at once.

Strange. I though it was always just a quicker way to reference/find something sent rather than having to scroll through a conversation to find it, and not something that took up storage until specified.

Hi everyone.

I don't know if it's already answered: iOS 7,8 and 9 notification centre don't include all day events or tomorrows events. You have to install 3rd party apps (for example Calendars 5 or Fantastical) if you want to see all day events.

However, iOS 5 and 6 included all day events in NC, as you can check in the next capture:

Has Apple addressed this issue in iOS 10? I don't understand why Apple removed this feature...

iOS 10 has two Calendar widgets. One is Calendar (which will show all day events) and the second widget is called Up Next (this will show up coming events in the future)

As I understand it. Calendar is for "today" stuff and Up Next is for "future events".

I think up next is the today view that we all know from ios 9 notification center

Hasn't been in my case. Calendar shows me all day events for "today" Example, yesterday it was a holiday in Quebec, it showed it as an all day event in the Calendar widget. My Up Next widget never has shown me events for "today" and shows me a monthly reminder I have set for each month on the 10th and is showing me the July 10th reminder/event.

I barely use the Calendar stuff, so with my very limited amount of things entered into my Calendar app I could be totally wrong on all this. Just going off what it's displayed for me.

No, "Up next" shows the next whatever in your calendar. I am not sure if there is a limit how far in the future it will check, but it is not just for today (or tomorrow). "Calendar" is more similar to the today in previous versions.

So I think I would have to keep installed Calendar 5 app to see my all day events... Bad news!

Not sure if this has been asked already but can Siri Suggested apps under Spotlight Search be turned off? Keeping the Siri Suggestions widget active in Today View... Thanks.

As the matter of fact, you can. Although it has been around with iOS 9 as I recall?

Siri-suggesties is Dutch for Siri Suggestions, but that should've been clear already. :)

Real shame text tone doesn't have the option. No wait it does!!

Ok so I'm assuming this is a bug but in settings under sounds I have a custom ringtone selected but it's being overridden by this

When I bring up my Mom's contact card.

Under the selection of ringtones under the contact card none of my custom tones appear.

This is what shows under sounds in the settings

Can someone tell me what happens if you tap, long-press or 3D-Touch the 4K icon in the camera app? I was hoping it would get turned into a toggle for video quality. Thanks!
No. Nothing happens. You still cannot change video quality in camera app.

Thanks for letting me know. That's too bad. That would be a prime area for a quick toggle! I love using 4K for certain videos, but for many videos it's not necessary as I don't need an archive. The 4K video storage problem is a struggle. And streaming them from iCloud is a huge pain.

I don't recall seeing this little nugget while reading through this forum but I needed to take a picture to send to my wife as a text message and when I clicked the camera icon (within the messages app) the camera view was down in the bottom 3rd of the screen with the photo gallery next to it. I really did like this option. Just click the button and it takes the picture.

Yeah.
Currently there is an app called Camera+ which looks pretty awesome. But user can only call it from home screen, not lock screen, or literally, everywhere.
But, similar to Microsoft, Apple does not develop the top tier software of certain kind so that other developers can come with awesome ideas. Don't know if this Mindset correct though.

Can't tell if already discussed in this massive thread or not, but when someone new not in your contacts texts you and states their name, iOS 10 b1 auto fills with "Maybe: person's name"

This is incredible Imo!
