I just noticed that all open Wi-Fi spots have the word security recommendation underneath them now

I read it and I'm no more convinced than any of the other posters who stormed in squealing about a change that isnt, had to have pressing a button explained to them and then magically had it start working for them. My tolerance for it is through the floor.
I've had iOS 10 do it two completely different ways for me. How hard is that to understand? It's absolutely a bug that affects devices and installs differently. This wouldn't be the first time that's been the case and caused a ton of confusion until it was fixed in a later build so that all devices behaved consistently.

I think exercising some patience might be warranted here. Apple have totally changed how the lock screen works now and it doesn't come with clear instructions, so give people time to figure it out. For starters the lock screen now has an unlocked state, that is confusing.

I think compounding the issue is that there are actions on the "lock" screen that can only now be accomplished by 3D Touch (at the moment) making things even more confusing.

Has anyone noticed to two-step vibration when you pull down notification centre slowly?

It seems if you stop at the first buzz you get search, keep going after the second and its notification centre as normal

I notice that.
This is now a hit or miss matter. But I really don't think dragging down a little bit is easier than dragging down long enough to just bring notifications.

Yeah its definitely hit and miss - tricky to do when it does work and sometimes doesnt even activate at all. eg. I can do it when Instagram is open but not from the home screen

Anybody notice a swipe to left on mail doesn't delete message so easily? I always struggled to get the options and it would just swipe straight to delete.

This is surely a welcome change. I accidentally deleted 16 emails just because of that. Many apps apply some sort of inertia effect to prevent user from deleting something too easily.

It was right for tvOS. Maybe they had more complaints on tvOS then iOS about a dark mode?

Developers have found Dark mode references in iOS 10 im sure its in the works .... they need to make it system wide so maybe that's why they are taking so long to implement this? and also release some sort of API to make this work on third party apps as well.... who knows..

Anyone noticed that the vibration on alerts seems stronger? When the phone is in my pocket inside of like a hoodie, I can still feel it whereas before upgraded to iOS 10 I would often miss the fact that there was even a notification because the vibration wasn't strong enough to feel

A little late to the party, I made a topic about it the same day 10 B1 came out.

I hate the new unlock screen. It is silly stupid and doesn't work.
Works pretty well for me. What device are you using it on?

Hi,

When music is playing, what options do you get when you press the three dots button on the lock screen? Not being able to save Apple Music songs without unlocking is one of my biggest concerns.

Thanks.

When playing music in the app, from Now Playing screen tapping ellipsis gives...

When looking from the lock screen, no ellipsis is available...

Issues I'm still experiencing (even after hard reset) so far in ios10 public beta on iPhone 6s Plus...

- Music, podcast, or any audio randomly stops/pauses while playing (on solid wifi connection)

- iPhone becomes stuck in landscape mode and doesn't auto-rotate back to vertical position. Had to restart phone and turn on auto rotate lock to prevent it from happening.

- Cannot record and send video directly within iMessage. The option to send doesn't work upon touching it; you have to touch "cancel" to get out of that video screen.

- Stock widgets have remained blank without any content showing.

- While having headphones connected into headphone jack, if I toggle the "ring/silent" switch to silent mode, the headphones still continue playing audio.

- Cannot play videos in landscape mode (with auto-rotate lock off) within the Facebook app.

- And last but not least, obviously and expectedly, the battery life sucks tremendously.

So far I'm enjoying the new features. Just needs to be polished and once everything is running smoothly, it'll be amazing. I plan on keeping the public beta until the next update to see if that improves any of these issues. If not, then it's back to iOS 9.3.

Did you upgrade to iOS 10 or do a clean install? I noticed a lot of those issues on iOS 10 Beta 2 when I installed it over Beta 1, which was installed over iOS 9. I did a clean iOS 10 Beta 2 install today and started from scratch, and so far it has been fairly smooth sailing.

I haven't tried it in the car yet, but here is to hoping my car's bluetooth is fixed. In iOS 10 Beta 1 and 2 (first installs) the audio would clip and cutout randomly. Reminded me of having a disc skip back in the day.

Ugh...the rotation "lock" issue is a real pain. Only way to fix seems to be hard restart....and serious battery life issues here as well. Expect that to be magically "fixed" suddenly like it has in previous beta downloads.

Other than that, really liking the new features and I actually am enjoying the new Music app.
