Anyone else's phone running extremely hot? Mine was good the first couple days on pb2 and now it's getting very hot near the camera, especially when charging. I know it's a beta so I'm not complaining, just wondering if it's happening to anyone else because the battery is draining very fast and it was fine the first couple days.
Happened to me as well, especially downloading lots of stuff using either wifi or cellular, or playing 3D intensive games like Freeblade.

Issues I'm still experiencing (even after hard reset) so far in ios10 public beta on iPhone 6s Plus...

- Music, podcast, or any audio randomly stops/pauses while playing (on solid wifi connection)

- iPhone becomes stuck in landscape mode and doesn't auto-rotate back to vertical position. Had to restart phone and turn on auto rotate lock to prevent it from happening.

- Cannot record and send video directly within iMessage. The option to send doesn't work upon touching it; you have to touch "cancel" to get out of that video screen.

- Stock widgets have remained blank without any content showing.

- While having headphones connected into headphone jack, if I toggle the "ring/silent" switch to silent mode, the headphones still continue playing audio.

- Cannot play videos in landscape mode (with auto-rotate lock off) within the Facebook app.

- And last but not least, obviously and expectedly, the battery life sucks tremendously.

So far I'm enjoying the new features. Just needs to be polished and once everything is running smoothly, it'll be amazing. I plan on keeping the public beta until the next update to see if that improves any of these issues. If not, then it's back to iOS 9.3.

Fairly sure the ring/slient switch has never affected headphones, and landscape videos in Facebook have never seemed to work for me (iOS 9). Wonder if the app actually supports landscape video playback?

I cannot shake really bad battery life under both iOS 10 and watchOS beta 3's.

Went as far as to reinstall the OS. Still just as bad.

I was really pleased when my dad sent me a text message saying "I can't remember if you wanted to meet at 3 PM or 3:30 PM" and the auto complete gave me the option of 3 PM 3:30 PM or I don't remember. It was easy as punch just hit the button LOL

Tried using the "forget this network" option on my phone while connected to my hotspot on both phone and laptop.....then noticed my laptop also lost the connection to the hotspot, added it back on the laptop and my phone was back on the hotspot, interesting convenience but kinda not what I wanted to accomplish so just turned off the wifi on my phone.

Agreed, too many steps. Apple, just implement Virtual Home ?
(Oh wait, Virtual Home is a jailbroken app, too practical and simple...)

I'm finding that most of the time, it's unlocking as soon as I depress it (thanks to fast TouchID), which is not even what it's supposed to be doing anymore. It's supposed to stay on the lock screen to prevent me from losing those notifications.

Also several jailbreak developers have been hired in past years by Apple to integrate their tweaks into iOS, so it's not like they're adverse to making such changes if it makes sense for most users.

I believe that's iCloud Keychain basically (from iOS 9 and perhaps even 8).

I don't know if this has been posted before but if you go into someone's contact and customize their ringtone all the way on the top there's an option to override do not disturb. Which means now text messages also go through even if do not disturb is turned on. Don't know when this appeared or if it was there in the first beta of iOS 10

It's new since iOS 9.3.3.

Yeah it's one of the new things in iOS 10 (since the first beta as I recall based on some posts and threads about it).

So...I'm actually IN Boston and wanted to get the local weather on the Weather app....does the parsing seem a little whacked out here?

How can Boston, MA not come up at or very near the top of the list? I think I would literally need to be in one of those other "bostons" to understand why it wouldn't.

Starting to see more "smart content" or whatever Apple is calling the intelligent parsing of data in Messages. Today my daughter sent me a message that she was still at the restaurant she works for and it came across as a link. When clicked, the content surfaced correctly described her restaurant (not a chain restaurant).

Do you have Settings > Display & Brightness > Raise to Wake enabled?

On phones with faster Touch ID (6/6+, 6S/6S+, SE), picking up the phone (or hitting the power button on the phone's edge) is the encouraged way to wake the phone and view lock screen notifications without losing them. You can also rest your finger on the touch sensor to unlock the phone (still without leaving the lock screen; indicated by a tiny padlock at the top), which gives increased access to content and actions on the lock screen.

Pressing the home button will always unlock + open to springboard.

Similarly bad search at times for apps within Spotlight. Searching for "Watch" does not show the "Watch" app in my top 3. After tapping "Show More" and scrolling down, it apppearsad #10 out of the 12 Apps it considers relevant. There is a weather app and a News app which both appear higher on the list. Seems exact matches for an app name should trump everything else.

Safari autofill just asked me if it should use my Home Information, Work information, Other Contact, or to Customize. Never seen that before. It was the first time in forever that I didn't have to replace my work email with my home email to make a purchase.

Yes. The iPhone 5 is the very bottom of supported iPhones. (iOS 10 is for all A6 chip devices and up.)

Could anyone report on the performance of iOS 10 on an iPhone 5? Do you recommend upgrading from iOS 9? How much of a noticeable performance difference is there.

Well, it's a beta for now, so probably not the best representative of what it will really be like when it's out (nor will the first 10.0 release really be a representative of what it will be like with some additional updates).

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I just noticed it and searched this thread and couldn't find mention anywhere. When you copy an address then double click the home button so the app switcher appears, a box on the bottom pops up and offers to take you directly to maps and get directions.

Just tried this and .. lo and behold .. it offered up Waze as the mapping app, not Maps. Wonder how its making that determination (I have Maps (obviously), Google Maps and Waze installed)

Do you use Waze most often? Or maybe you use Waze at that time of day?

I used to (pre May of this year). Then I got CarPlay and haven't used it much since on my routine driving. That's why I was amazed about it showing up.
