I have a question about the new facial recognition and memories organizational tools in the photos upgrade for iOS 10. Can this feature be turned off? I'd prefer to set up my albums my own way...I'd rather leave them the way they are right now in iOS 9.3.4.

None of it changes your albums. It adds a People album/folder and a Memories Tab at the bottom. Just don't tap into them if you don't want to use them. No reason to turn it off.

Are you talking selecting an app for navigation? If so, you can only do that when selecting the Transit or Ride options.

What happened to "routing apps"??

The Proactive suggestions hasn't worked for me since I updated to PB 6 on my iPhone 6S Plus.

It hasn't for me either. Was the feature scrapped?

There is no share menu in Maps.

The only "View Routing Apps" button is when you select Transit and Maps doesn't have directions for that area. Hope that makes sense.

No, the Proactive App Suggestions has not been scrapped. It's actually been a lot better throughout all of iOS 10 beta than it has been all of iOS 9. (iOS 9 I barely ever saw a suggested app on the lock screen and with iOS 10 there is barely a time when an app isn't suggested)

See screenshot suggesting YouTube on my lock screen.

It's weird how some people are getting ZERO proactive suggestions, and some get them all the time. I remember having an issue with it in the last couple of iOS 9 iterations, but have had zero issues with iOS 10. Probably one of my favorite features!

x.0 betas never have the full wallpaper list.
Part of the fun for me is seeing the new wallpapers in the GM. Like last year the "official" iOS 9 wallpaper was only shown at the iPhone event. I've liked the current iOS beta crashing wave, but hope for something nicer. ;)

I dont know of this has already been mentioned...

But when saying "hey Siri" with multiple devices close to each other that can respond only one of them responds. Very cool! It was annoying that at first your iPhone and iPad responded. :)

It was discovered in one of the earlier betas (developer beta 2 or so)

It's a good addition

I know there are a bunch of options out there, but I've always preferred Apple's stock wallpapers. I always find myself returning to them because they are well balanced. I also am looking forward to the new ones at GM, especially since Apple has removed quite a few of the older ones along the way in the beta process.

I'm currently running the latest public beta and I'm having a funny issue with the music app. A song will play and just as it finishes, the next song starts, only it skips to like 1 minute into the song. Other times, a song will end with still around 30 to 45 seconds left. It seems to be completely random. Anyone else having this issue.

Should I have posted this in the music app thread?

Try soft reseting the device.

Just noticed today that now if you are playing a video in safari, once you switch to another app the video continues playing in the background! Wooo hooo lol

It doesn't automatically continue playing for me.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already

I used Safari to search for a local college the other day and from their webpage I called them (tapped the number)

I went to call them again later on and noticed that the 'Recents' list had their name instead of their number. Clicking in to the contact pulled up a map showing their address, contact information and a section pulled from Wikipedia about the college. Has this been seen before?

It's there in iOS 9, and I think even 8.

Just tried the same on the Wife's 6+ running 9.3.5 and it doesn't provide the same functionality.

I also tried the test again with my phone, this time with a different company. Called from a Google search within Safari. Got the same info.

Repeated the test on the Wife's phone following the same process, different outcome. No automatic company name recognition, no maps info, no Wikipedia info.

I haven't gotten that kind of information for all companies, but I've definitely gotten that for some in the past (with iOS 9 if not even 8).

Three months later, I found one:

iOS will suggest and delete apps in order to perform a software update.
