May seem like a stupid question, but is the highest flashlight intensity the same as the current, default iOS 9 flashlight brightness, or brighter?
What device? iPhones with 3D Touch can have three flashlight intensities. To get those options 3D Touch on the flashlight in the Control Centre.
Sorry if this was already mentioned, but the clock being off-centered on the lock screen (on an iPad, landscape mode)...is that a "feature" or bug?
Feature/intended. Notifications/music controls are to the right. (Clock also shifts to the right when you swipe over to the widget page)
Notifications are also to the left and only the music controls are to the right.
I guess it seems like the question about intensities is more about seeing which intensity does the pre iOS 10 on setting correspond to?

Yay! I got the two things I really wanted:
1. When you press [shift] you just get symbols on the top line. Before you got symbols and numbers and it wasn't always clear what you'd actually get when you pressed a button.
2. The docked icons at the bottom now line up with all the others in landscape mode.
I'm easy to please.
Not much else has changed, but I do like the notifications and widgets. Very nice.

No option for that anymore unfortunately. Hard to say if it was a design decision or a bug if some sort.

It was never a feature in iOS.
And as that shows it was never an actual feature in any of iOS beta or final releases.
Fine. I kept hearing about it and we have dark mode on Mac OS and TV OS so I just assumed it wasn't covered and was just buried in the settings somewhere.
bugs me that it wasn't included. Would have paired well with the jet black iPhone
Agreed, many would like to see it in iOS, but unfortunately it's not there, nor was it really promised to be there (just that seemingly some work related to it to one degree or another exists somewhere within the iOS code essentially).
