Good tip on changing the language! Thanks!

No, he's absolutely correct AND so are you.

How do I know? Because I've had beta 2 do it both ways for me.

When I first OTA updated iOS 10 to beta 2 it wouldn't let me in until I pressed the home button. The rest finger to unlock setting switch didn't do anything for me. Then I had to get my screen fixed and when I did, in order to calibrate the screen, the apple techs had to roll it back to 9.3.2 (calibration software doesn't work on iOS 10 yet). When I upgraded back to iOS 10 beta 2 I no longer have to press the home button to unlock it to the home screen.

Obviously it's a bit buggy on which way Apple wants it. This is on a 6 Plus not 6S. I haven't turned on the rest finger to unlock setting.

Remember, iOS betas can behave differently on different devices and sometimes different installs. Just because you have a specific experience does not mean it matches everyone else's. It's all part of getting rid of the beta bugs. That's one important reason they have public betas.

It's very flakey. All it takes is a reboot and you could end up with normal as we always known Touch ID to home screen, or it doesn't open the phone and a press is needed. All through beta 1 and all the way up until yesterday it always opened the phone with one press and leaving my finger on Touch ID. Yesterday that "broke" and took 2-3 reboots to fix.

Did you upgrade to iOS 10 or do a clean install? I noticed a lot of those issues on iOS 10 Beta 2 when I installed it over Beta 1, which was installed over iOS 9. I did a clean iOS 10 Beta 2 install today and started from scratch, and so far it has been fairly smooth sailing.

I haven't tried it in the car yet, but here is to hoping my car's bluetooth is fixed. In iOS 10 Beta 1 and 2 (first installs) the audio would clip and cutout randomly. Reminded me of having a disc skip back in the day.

I did an upgrade, but I'I'll try a clean install and see if that works. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm now seeing a "For You" section of the news widget. I put "news" lower case, because, up til now, I was under the impression the news widget was not really tied in any meaningful way to the News app. But now it seems to be and is presenting stuff I've said I want to hear about. Wonderful!!!

Don't know if this feature has been posted before, but under Settings > Battery there are now suggestions for prolonging battery life. Public beta 1, iPhone 6S

PS. Sorry for Danish language :)

I hate the new unlock screen. It is silly stupid and doesn't work.

Agreed, too many steps. Apple, just implement Virtual Home ?
(Oh wait, Virtual Home is a jailbroken app, too practical and simple...)

I didn't notice it on here...but my favorite new feature is in Calendar and how it pulls previous meeting info when you type in a similar title and lets you drop it in quickly without entering all of the data. It has been a huge time saver for me since most meetings and events I have that are repeated occur for the same time period and in the same locations with the same reminders. I just type it in and set the proper time since it tends to pull the current time by default. Great add.

I noticed they changed the "Constellation" ringtone in iOS 10. It sounds a bit different as compared to iOS 9. I use it to wake up every morning so I am very familiar with how it sounds in iOS 9.x. The version in iOS 10 (at least in Beta 2) has less notes or something.

Anyone else's phone running extremely hot? Mine was good the first couple days on pb2 and now it's getting very hot near the camera, especially when charging. I know it's a beta so I'm not complaining, just wondering if it's happening to anyone else because the battery is draining very fast and it was fine the first couple days.

Mine is the opposite lol. Just never felt a phone get this hot and I've had every iPhone and have done betas in the past.
