Get a red flashing screen when switching between apps. Anyone else experience this?

Hi,

Just had this happen for the first time. Double-clicked the Home button to get out of an app to close it and return to the Home screen, and there was a solid red screen in place of the normal view of the Home screen for a fraction of a second. That's the one and only time it's happened so far though.

I am running it since day one on my 6S Plus and don't understand why so many people say it's much better than the first beta of iOS 9. I need to carry always my 4s with 9.3.3 as backup phone with me because some for me important things just don't work properly and many changes are really annoying.

With the first developer beta of iOS 9 everything I needed just worked as before. At least I can't remember anything what annoyed me.

But I won't go back. I just need to get used to it and hope for some fixes with app updates and in the next beta.

With macOS 10.12 nothing really changed for me compared to 10.11.6. Only gfxCardStatus 2.3 does not work anymore properly. But this app has not been updated since September 2012 and is not that important for me. I did not even try to delete and reinstall it yet.

Ok battery life for me, I really can't tell any difference at all. It's draining from using it so much. When it was on iOS 9 I barely used it when I was at home. I always used my 4S on 6 and my iPad 4 on 6. Since iOS 10 is more useful and more pleasant to use (for me at least) I've been using my phone more and I'm liking it. Can't say it enough, iOS 10 is FANTASTIC!!

I have the same experience. I'm super happy with iOS 10. Certainly it will take some time to get use to the UI changes especially in iMessage and notifications but I like the changes and overall my system is super stable especially for a beta, minimally worse than 9.3.3

It always is fun during the betas to see what evolves/what changes. I'm sure notifications, control center, etc will evolve during the developer betas.

Only other thing I've found is Apple Music and Spotify skip and cut in and out (more of like a cd skipping) with Bluetooth in my car. IOS 9 works great, Bluetooth headphones (both Bose) worn great and the car with the trouble is a 2014 Audi Q5

no problems with spotify in the car for me yet. Haven't even tried apples music app as I haven't used it hardly ever since I discovered spotify a couple years back

I had the same issue at first, but I installed the profile from the downloads page on my device and downloaded iOS 10 OTA with no issues :)

I got it to load, found out you I needed to update Xcode first. I am just wondering if I will be able to get OTA updates without loading that specific profile. I will see come the first update I suppose

Raise to wake and still have to click home button to unlock? I mean wtf Apple?!?
No, you click the home button to jump to the Home screen. In iOS 10 you can now unlock your phone with Touch ID and stay on the lock screen by only touching the home button.

After the iOS9 beta fiasco I swore I'd never install a beta again (only have daily drivers), but I caved and installed iOS10 earlier today. Seems rock solid so far on my iPhone 6S, no weird stuff happening and battery life is on par with iOS9.3.2

raise to wake doesn't know who you are, its to see notifications not to open your phone, it was done since pressing the hime button in ios 9 read your finger too fast and you couldn't see notification son the lockscreen.

I think they should build in when lift to wake activates, touch id also activates for a matter of 30 seconds, that would eliminate the need to press the button and wear my phone out quicker...........or that could be apples plan to battle slowing sales :p

Since the original iPhone you've had to click the Home button (or power button) to unlock it, so I guess that's been Apple's plan for the last decade.

I am not seeing anything like that. Can you explain exactly what you do to get that "flash"? I have multiple apps opened, double tap Home to see the switcher and then pick any open app... not seeing anything except the newly selected app's screen. Tested on iPhone 5S and iPad Mini 4.

do you really think that pushing the home button "wears out your phone"....this is plan silly. My original iPhone home button still works perfectly 7 or whatever years later...

It was a joke, that's why the tongue out emoji is at the end. I would appreciate touch id activating when I pick the phone up though, one less step to getting going. I had a nexus 6p for a while and really like the convenience of that feature.
