iOS 10 beta 1 Bug Fixes, Changes and Performance Improvements

Installed iOS 10 Beta 1 last night under a dev account, installation went perfect on the phone (6s). Went through the OS for about an hour and a half, everything worked pretty fine (apart from the occasional slight lag and lower than usual frame rates when closing/switching apps etc). Woke up this morning, and the phone became pretty much unusable suddenly, I can hardly get messages or even whatsapp to work, can't type anything, apps keep crashing. Anyone know why? (please don't say it is a beta and this is expected, I know it is but my question is why did it work fine yesterday and not today? - or if someone knows what is causing this)

Yes, this is true. And MUCH improved, no longer choppy. Live Photos now offer image stabilization as well as Live Filters. 6s

Ok, third try. Got to Restoring iPhone Software, it finished it and then got an error (14)... Looks like I'll have to restore to 9 and OTA. Fkng apple..

Did you manage to install iOS 10, as that's the same error I'm getting.

Maps now uses ambient light sensors to determine the darkness level of the map itself. For example I was sitting in my car at night and I turned on the cabin lights the map went from night view to day view and I turned off the lights it went back to the night view.

I just found a bug where random static plays through when navigating with headphones plugged in.

Also. I'm not seeing lyrics in the Music app. Is that only available when it's released in the Fall?

I don't know about apple music stuff, but the songs from itunes on my computer (that had lyrics) also showed up with lyrics on my iphone.

Yesterday, i installed beta in my iPad Pro, and there is a problem with ibooks in the cloud because i can´t see my pdf an epubs that i have uploaded to iCloud, i only see the purchased books.

Any of you have had this problem?

Bug - iPad Pro 9.7:

No audio from 3.5mm jack when playing video or music. You do get audio though when using FaceTime.

Error 14 updating / restoring to Beta 1 iOS 10

Do you have Xcode 8 Beta installed? If you dont it will fail and have errors. I had similar issues. I was silly enough not to read through so it was my fault..

The issue I am having is that I can't hard reset my phone because it just takes a screen shot and then brings up the "slide to power off" option.

Weird how bugs around the same thing can be so different.

Bugs:

• Using Force Touch to respond to a text message from the Lock screen sometimes results in a text reply window that cannot be closed with the Home button or the UI element. You need to reboot the phone to recover
• Certain widgets are cut off in the new Spotlight/today view
• When plugged into my car via USB Siri speaks no matter what in Maps while driving despite "No Voice" being selected
• Large Music Controls on Lock screen (may be an unfortunate feature)
• iPad Air 2: Rotating Lock screen from portrait to landscape yields a misplaced clock
• Screenshots on lockscreen broken - device turns off, no screenshot in Photos
• Apple Music features are not able to be hidden. Toggling the "Show Apple Music" setting currently has no effect on the redesigned Music app
• Alarms remain on the lock screen as "Snoozing" with a minus amount of time once they have been stopped
• When trying to reply on some posts in Safari (even here) - Safari will jump to the bottom of the page and you cannot see what you're typing
• Built in HOME app does not support well EVE and August accessories
• No Today widget. No way to see the current date. (You can actually see the date if you go to Widgets from the lock screen, or you can use one of the Calendar widgets which show a live date in the icon)
• When choosing an alarm in Clock app for Bedtime Mode, that sample alarm will sound until you force close the app
• Turning off Keyboard sounds also turns off Taptic feedback for the Mute switch

Anyone else not able to update apps?

Two of my apps in TestFlight got an update in the meanwhile, but the update what would be a "downdate" in the App Store is still there.

Keep pressing and it will reset after slide to power off is shown, It's a real pain but it does work.

seems like folders don't have the blur effect anymore on iPad Mini 2 its just transparent now. Is this on all A7 devices?
