But problem is the animation is not slower even with reduce motion on. It changes the animation but not drastically reduce the time. What we need is in reduce motion, when pressing home button while in an app, iOS should instantly return to home screen. And when calling out app switcher, app switcher should also show up instantly. Every single system animation should be eliminated.
Turn off triple press home button shortcuts and it will be faster ;)

All the shortcuts needs to be turned to off, men no triple click!!!
Yeah. I have turned off all shortcuts.
And speed up is system wide or just in certain actions?
[doublepost=1471308548][/doublepost]Seems that Apple is planning to ditch rating system starting from iOS 10. No sign of adding it back.
It appears that my time using iOS device is counted. Completely fail to understand why Apple removes Rating system.

The speed up is while using the home button with double or one click for every action - test with shortcuts and without those and you will see!!!

You know I think 10 is faster. I suspect better optimized and the un-encrypted kernel are the reasons. BUT this guys videos are crap. The devices are never configured the same, (one no lock screen the other one does, news app on separate pages, etc) The devices need to be setup identical to be a fair comparison. Even then its subjective whether the taps are exactly the same. Subconsciously one could make the results appear as one wants by the ever so slight different taps. At the very least they should be configured exactly the same across the board.

I don't really care for the videos either, but I don't know what you mean by they aren't configured the same. They are the same minus the stock wallpaper iOS 9 uses vs what iOS 10 uses and the fact Music and News are redesigned (and the iOS 10 having the feedback app)

Anyway, on topic, I wonder if I'll get voicemail transcription this time. Theoretically I meet all the requirements (iPhone SE, T-Mobile US and Visual Voicemail) but no go, so far.

Yes, voicemail transcripts have sprung into life with this beta for me. I'm on Telstra in Australia.

Couple of things...

In iMessage, if you start swiping (try slowly) from the message view to go back to the list of conversations, but let go prematurely, the screen snaps back, but the keyboard keeps scrolling right for a second.

Also, in a conversation, I don't really care for the circle at the top with the persons initials on it because it makes the persons name very very small under it. It just looks poorly designed.

Also, I just noticed with the keyboard while typing this. When you hit a comma (or anything that's not a letter) it doesn't go back to the regular letters again after you press the space bar. That's kind of annoying.

Someone has the bug on siri that when you ask her "what song is that?" doesn't give the correct song?

That circle normally contains the person's picture. Time to work on your contacts list? ;)
Well, with or without pictures, it seems that for some people it might be an unnecessary thing. They did put an option to control whether or not these thumbnails show up in the Messages list, it would be nice if they respected what the user selected for that in the actual conversation view as well.

The bottom left corner of the Music app Now Playing screen still does not have an icon. Yet, when you tap on the blank area, it pops up the options for removing the download or removing from library.

Speaking that the code for it is in iOS 10, and has been discovered to work, I for one and many others are still waiting for it to be available for use. It could appear later in the year or could never make it to be usable. For now it's a project that was never finished, that is hidden unless uncovered by system devs or hackers on a computer.
I think its important to note that Apple has really been focusing much more on the x.x updates and really including a lot of new features into those updates. So if they're any hope at all that iOS 10 sees a dark mode I'd save the hope for those kind of betas.
Also some one actually managed to get multitasking for iPad working in a simulator during the summer of the iOS 8 beta, that was a feature that didn't get released until iOS 9.

Exactly. I don't want people's faces on my phone. I just want their name to be displayed larger.

Right now it's so freaking tiny and looks weird.

I submitted feedback about it and hopefully they include an option to omit the thumbnail image and make the name bigger.

OK for example the boot time test, one goes right to the home screen the other to lock screen. If I remember news was not on the home news page on one of the devices but appears to have been cached to home on the other. Several instances in there the pages that loaded were not the same page. Anyway not a biggie, just seems that identical setup and no apps open (show app switcher as being empty) could make for a better video.

Can confirm both of these bugs.

About the boot time, this is totally normal, this is how iOS 10 now works. If you don't have a passcode, it boot straight into the home screen whereas on iOS 9 it would boot into the lock screen first.

One going to home screen and the other to lock screen. That's a feature of iOS 10 (to go to the home screen)

News showing a different landing screen is likely because they are different apps. iOS 10 version has been completely redesigned.

No need to show no apps open because you saw them boot up from off. No apps would be open in that case (just a left over snapshot of the app in the switcher and still would require a full launch of w/e app)

But yeah, no biggie and personally don't like these side by side tests like these because taps two handed isn't exactly accurate or easy to perfectly time each hand and tap identically.
